My stay in Mori Hostel was totally satisfying and awesome. It is conveniently located near Farrer Park which is just a walking distance. The vicinity itself is dotted with temples perfect for sightseeing and walking. It is also near to Little india which is also famous with tourist spots and hawker centers. There is also free breakfast consists of toast, jams and butter as well as lots of coffee and tea all day. There is also free shampoo and body wash.

Let me put it this way: if you've booked this hostel and expected to get a 5-star hotel room, I'm sorry you're mistaken. However, hear me out. Let's talk about the pros: 1. The receptionists that I met (Raymond, Alif and Nathaneal) were very friendly and helpful. 2. It had the bare necessities such as beds, shower rooms and pantry. 3. I had 3 roommate changes and met people from 6 countries. It was a life-changing experience. 4. Shampoo and shower creme is provided so you don't need to pack any toiletries if you're worried about excess baggage weight. 5. It's honestly very near the Farrer Park station, and it's less than 10 minutes walk to the neighbourhood mall, City Square Mall. You can even catch a movie at Golden Village Theater. 6. There are food stalls within less than 5 minutes walk and a mini mart next door. So, don't worry about not being able to get anything to eat. For the limitations and suggestions: 1. The shower rooms could be upgraded a bit more with fresh paint and a repair for the place you hang the shower head. 2. Previous tenants left some of their belongings (and I mean cups, unfinished fruit and undergarments) in the room and did not dispose them. 3. The toaster in the pantry could use some cleaning as well as they were quite dirty with the accumulated gunk from previous use. 4. Some of the bed linen or protectors and even pillows needs to be maintained better as they were a bit musty smelling. 5. The hairdryer in my room was broken. Maybe the hostel could invest in some new functioning ones. :) Tips for future hostel goers: 1. Be genuine and friendly with the receptionists. They are people too. 2. If you need a hairdryer, let the receptionist know and they will assist you. 3. As this is not a hotel but a hostel, if you see scraps of rubbish lying around or even u washed cups, at the least help to place them in the sink or just help wash and hang them up. It doesn't take you a lot of energy. 4. Please clean up after yourself once done with the washroom. I saw someone pee all over the toilet seat in the morning. I was appalled. We're all adults, let's be responsible. 5. Be a sensible roommate if you're in a shared dorm. Be respectful and make new friends along the way. 6. If you don't want to take the MRT, you can take the bus. For airport, you can speak to the receptionist for the fare for direct bus services to the airport. Overall, my stay was pleasant, and I'm grateful for the experience and the new people I've managed to meet. Wishing you well, Mori Hostel!

I was late check in around 00.30 am due to singapore airline delayed.i didn't get any notification both from hotel about late check in confirmation. I was waiting around 1 hour to find someone who could enter in. And yes, my name was on the table with the key in reception room. Lucky I met someone, if no, I need to find another hotel nearby. The room was old and dirty. The bedsheet wasn't change so I felt itchy and couldn't sleep whole night. No water fountain so I couldn't find water, finding machine didn't work. What a worst day. The breakfast place wasn't that nice but they served bread, and sereal + milk. I think it was pretty good. But hot water didn't work. This place is not too far from mrt. The bed is good enough. Soft and comfortable. Second day was great, I asked to change the bedsheet and blanket. I had a super nice sleep. Thank you mori.

It was a good place, but some restrooms and the kitchen need to be cleaned. Not only for the staff, but also the visitors must keep them clean.

If you check in late, you have to email them and they will sent you an instruction how to get into hotel. The hostel is not like in the photos. When I arrived there are piles of trashes outside. It is smaller than it looks like. The room is much smaller. I requested low bunk bed in app, but they ignored it. If you r a muslim, it's nearly impossible to have a pray. The lamp in my lamp is broken. We have to do our bedding and you have to bring your own lock for the locker. You can buy it for $5 there. But my roommate are nice and we just put our luggage outside. There are shampoo and soap available but for towel you have to bring your own or rent $3. It was raining in the morning and it pour down to the kitchen so I couldn't get breakfast. But next morning there are cereal, bread, jam, tea and coffee. Self service. The staffs are helpful and you can get a shuttle from their sevice. Need to deposit $20 and the staff let me pay later because I only have $100s. The distance to mrt station is 500m, it is consider close if you love to walk. There is a small shop to buy water etc and a pizza shop near hotel. There is a city square mall across the station so it's quite close.

Bad. It's not clean as expected/photo. The condition of the room is damp, the sheets look crumpled and not clean. Position the room at the end of the hall adjacent to the shared bathroom / toilet. This hostel is the worst I have ever been in and the price is not cheap. I only overnight and the next day immediately moved to the hotel.

Far from picture reference shown. Room was messy and smelly. Didn’t even stay after checked-in, move to other hostel nearby. Honest review should be 3.5/10.
