Greedy management
I would like to suggest travelers or people looking for an apartment for long stay, to stay well clear from Ekamai Prestige. Why? Simply because they charge you for services and facilities that you cannot use: as I stated in other comments, the swimming pool is never in service and the pool area has no shadow; The gym is really something to avoid if you do not like to injure yourself, due to rusty and broken equipment. Room cleaning is perfunctory at the most... So, you pay real good money for real bad service! Good Luck!!!

Very bad place
Some time ago Ekamai Prestige was a nice place to stay, well kept, quiet and relaxing. Now maintenance and cleaning is at a very low level: - the swimming pool is out of service since couple of months now, and maybe it's better since water was murky at best, before. - room and stairs/common area cleaning sucks. dust is not removed and towels/bed lining are with holes and spots. - The gym is full of broken and rusty equipment. they try to save money in every way, but quality and service are long way forgotten

Poor facilities
Probably in the past Ekkamai Prestige was a good place to relax and stay. Now, it is decaying and the management does not act sufficiently to restore its facilities. As an example, - the rooftop pool is always dirty and the water is soupy and green, more like a pond...cause there is no water recirculation! The plastic lawn is wornout and the easychair broken and peeling off the paint. - Gym equipment is rusty and most machines are partially outof order. - Room cleaning is not accurate and some corners are overlooked. -Personnel is helpful and kind.

Great little apartments
My boyfriend and I have been staying at Prestige for 4 months and find it really convenient. He works in Ekkamai and this was the prime reason. We love the modern and contemporary feel to the apartments. The neighbourhood is quiet and green, surrounded by residential private housing. Although small, the design is such as to create separate rooms for living/kitchen, bathroom (with bath and separate shower), and bedroom - unlike the conventional studio apartments that are all-in-one. We love the separate spaces. And - a real bonus - the apartments are light with two sets of patio doors leading to two balconies, one from the living area and one from the bedroom, facing different directions. Add to that the gym and swimming pool on the roof, the washing machine in each apartment, and the lovely quiet location .... and we're very happy here. (We are in Block B, with smaller apartments; Block A has larger ones at higher price.) It will take you 10-15 minutes to walk to or from Ekkamai skytrain station (not the 2-3 miles mentioned in another review). There is a complementary tuk-tuk shuttle service running from 07.00 to 00.30 on a circuit taking in Big C supermarket, Sukhumvit Road and Ekkamai BTS station. If you don't want to wait for the tuk-tuk, there are plentiful motorbike taxis along the soi for 20 baht. We think these apartments are excellent value for longer stays. The tuk-tuk service takes you to many shops and restaurants as well as BTS. It's seven stops on BTS to Siam, and 9 stops to Silom/Sathorn. It's a short taxi ride to the City Line out to the airport. The management is good and the apartments are great. Our only other comment is that for a gay couple, this area around Ekkamai is definitely hetero!

Great hotel down a back alley
I booked this hotel last minute not realizing how far it was from the BTS. After exiting the Ekkamai stop it was probably a 2 or 3 mile walk from the stop down a stretch of back alleys at night with barking dogs. There is a tuk tuk service that will take you from the BTS but it doesn't run all day. In the morning and afternoon it is much easier to get to and from the BTS from the hotel by the free tuk tuk service. We stayed in the most basic room available and it was great. There was a full sized living room with a couch and television, and a kitchen with a stove and pots and pans. The bedroom is quite large with two closets and a flat screen television. I would recommend this more for the business traveler or for someone needing a long-term stay. My only recommendation would to make guests more aware of the distance from the BTS and to include dish soap and towels for those guests wanting to cook in their units.
