ok for the price
We got to Phi Phi without any hotel reservation. So, at the pier we were met but multiple sales people advertising their hotels. We went with the guy to this one, because the price was right: we paid 900 baht for a room with an A/C.
The room was nothing spectacular: terrible pepto bismol colored walls, all shabby, with holes and scratches. Ancient TV (did not even turned it on once), bed. The bathroom was small but the shower was working fine.
A/C worked properly.
The room had a little balcony where we would seat in the evening looking at the bay.
Please, beware of monkeys. Every evening at 5 pm they decent from the top of the island to the bottom. Don't feed them or keep anything that even resembles food (fruit drinks etc) with you: they will snatch it from you. And I also saw a girl who got bitten by the monkey. Please remember, they are wild animals and can be quiet aggressive.
The room was cleaned every other day.
Overall, the room was not that comfortable at all: dark, with minimal amenities.
On the other hand, we would come there only to sleep and were out and about a whole day.
So, it was not a bad deal, considering us paying only $18 or so per night with AC. It's a budget hotel, backpackers kind.
The owner (lady) speaks decent English and rather helpful in getting info.
You have to walk 30 steps to get to the hotel (it's on the way to the Viewpoint).
I did not mind it, we travel with backpacks, but if you have a luggage it will be a problem.
