Basic but ok
Stayed here for 5 nights with my sister (22 and 20). Very very basic accommodation but you get what you pay for and this was one of the only places within our price range - not very clean, no wifi and not great bathroom but it served a purpose and we spent very little time here. The hostel is on route to the viewpoint so its a bit of a climb with rucksacks/luggage. Be careful when you arrive in Phi Phi some people will try and rip you off when it comes to helping carry your luggage - do not pay over 100 bhat. Owners of guesthouse were extremely friendly - we lost our room key and woke them up at 4am and they were still polite and helpful. Had to pay 1000 bhat for a new key but received deposit back. A good place to stay if you are on a budget and will not be spending much/if any time there. Location is good- Phi phi is tiny so anywhere is fine!!

Would have been OK if it didn't smell gross
We showed up on the island without a reservation and wound up here for a couple nights. It's a fairly run down place, but the fan room had a balcony and seemed OK. Pretty beat up walls, cold shower. Within our price range (900 bht), but the worst value for money I've seen in Thailand (but that's Phi Phi for you - we looked at a place that was far worse). The people running the place were nice. On a positive note, we couldn't hear any music or noise from the beach, there were no bugs or rodents, we slept fine. However, the room smelled pretty musty and pissy which I'm quite adverse to and I didn't notice it when I first saw the room because the balcony door and window were open. No screen on the window and the mattress had some mould. I think my accommodation needs are pretty basic but I just wished the place didn't smell gross. Definitely not the worst option on the island, but I was hoping for something a little bit better maintained.

ok for the price
We got to Phi Phi without any hotel reservation. So, at the pier we were met but multiple sales people advertising their hotels. We went with the guy to this one, because the price was right: we paid 900 baht for a room with an A/C. The room was nothing spectacular: terrible pepto bismol colored walls, all shabby, with holes and scratches. Ancient TV (did not even turned it on once), bed. The bathroom was small but the shower was working fine. A/C worked properly. The room had a little balcony where we would seat in the evening looking at the bay. Please, beware of monkeys. Every evening at 5 pm they decent from the top of the island to the bottom. Don't feed them or keep anything that even resembles food (fruit drinks etc) with you: they will snatch it from you. And I also saw a girl who got bitten by the monkey. Please remember, they are wild animals and can be quiet aggressive. The room was cleaned every other day. Overall, the room was not that comfortable at all: dark, with minimal amenities. On the other hand, we would come there only to sleep and were out and about a whole day. So, it was not a bad deal, considering us paying only $18 or so per night with AC. It's a budget hotel, backpackers kind. The owner (lady) speaks decent English and rather helpful in getting info. You have to walk 30 steps to get to the hotel (it's on the way to the Viewpoint). I did not mind it, we travel with backpacks, but if you have a luggage it will be a problem.

Cheap hotel
First thing I did not like about hotel is you have to walk about 70 steps to reach the hotel, terrible task in a very hot and humid day. The hotel is one of the cheapest of the island, so you cant expect too much. The view in the room was amazing, but the room itself not too much. The bathroom, was a little dirty, the towels are brown (May be to hide the dirtiness) and also, the bed sheet was stained and the wifi did not work very well, just worked for few minutes.

Amazing hospitality
To late to review, as just remembered my stay by seeing the pics. Amazing hospitality by the lady owner, she wished us whenever we came back to the hotel, and even while checking out she said " hope to see you soon" also her son who helped us with out luggage was very helpful. Amazing place to stay, will go there soon again.
