Perfect Bangkok Staycation
For a trip to bangkok shopping malls, SAB guesthouse is in the PRIME location. It's close to central world,Siam paragon and all the hustle that goes along. There's a Starbucks and McDonald's just downstairs if you need a western food fix, but there is free coffee, tea and water in the guesthouse all day. The pool was mostly shaded but a nice treat for relaxing. Was quite impressed! Oh and delicious bananas, eggs and toast for breakfast. Full kitchen if you wish to cook, as well. Stay here and be happy!

Only for female travellers ...great stay at an affordable price!
Discovered this hidden gem of a guest house in Bangkok just a very short distance away from Chidlom BTS station. i have been to Bangkok many times and was thrilled to find an affordable place to stay right in the heart of the city's happening places! Such a convenient location to get around the city by skytrain or just walking to get to major shopping malls such as Central Chidlom, Gaysorn, World Trade Center and Platinum Mall. It's nice to have an all-female guest house where little touches have been given to fulfill the needs of a female traveller such as full length mirrors, dressing table/vanity area with hair dryer, facial cotton, cotton buds, body lotion and a very clean bathroom with storage space for all our toiletries. Having experienced hostels in Europe, I was impressed by the closet that was provided for each guest. It has space that will fit your backpack or small trolley bag, a shelf for your knick-knacks and a hanging rod with hangers for clothes :) I was given a lower bunk bed (as per my request) in a 6-bed dorm. The dorm room was the biggest I have ever seen! The closets and bathroom were away from the sleeping area so if you have been out partying all night, you can be sure that you're not disturbing those who are sleeping when you come back to take a shower. There were screens strategically placed to provide some privacy to the bunk beds. Very good idea as it blocked out the light from the dressing area for those who were early to bed. Breakfast was sufficient with toast, butter, different jams, various tea options, coffee, bananas, eggs and biscuits. The guest house comes equipped with a full kitchen, refrigerator, washer and dryer. There's even a swimming pool and gym at a lower floor which is quite luxurious for a hostel! All in all, i had a great stay and will definitely be back!

Contemporary condo style guest house for female only!
I stayed 5 nights in the 6 bed dorm and it was super nice. It’s a huge room with its own bathroom (2 sinks, toilet and hot shower with soap and shampoo) and a dresser area. You get your own closet (big enough to store a carry on suitcase and a few hangers) with a lock, a comfy comforter and bed. AC only @ night. Otherwise it’s fan. They provide towel. There are also a 4 bed dorm (smaller though and bathroom outside the room), a private room (can accommodate 3 people) and a tiny room for 2 (not recommended at all). Common area consists of a big living room with plenty of space and sofas to lounge, rest and be connected (2 computers), a fully equipped kitchen & a dining table. It can get hot in the living room/ dining room as they do not put the AC on but you have fans everywhere). You also find a washing machine (40B) and dryer (10B but you can hang your clothes outside on the small patio by the kitchen). Pool on the 3rd floor (they need to escort you there) looks cool but didn’t have a chance to try it. Very good WiFi connection (even for streaming). Basically it’s like a condo where you live with female roommates (so depending who’s there, you either have nice, clean and respectful “roommates” or not!). 24/7 hot/ cold drinks available. Breakfast is basic: hard boiled eggs, toast, butter and jam. You can store your groceries in the fridge and cook if you want. Location: 5 minute walk from Chidlom BTS stop (exit 3 or 5) close to shopping malls: Central World for fast fashion, Central and Central Embassy for high end brands, Palladium for cheap massage and local fashion. Not easy to find the first time. Ask them the map via email. Find the building (hosting a high end spa on the ground level) between the Starbucks and Vanissa building. The entrance to the building is not on the main street and there is clear sign. You need to go on the side by the parking lot and ask the security guard to call them. Street food across the street (sate, sausages) or in front of 7 Eleven (the pad thai guy is awesome) or along Central World. Otherwise you have the food courts. It’s not cheap at all but if you book for 4 nights or more I think it’s worth it. Compare pricing when you book as I found it cheaper thru booking.com than directly with them (odd I know!). Less than 4 nights I would think about it twice though. I heard monthly rate is a good deal. From Don Mueang Airport it costs me 300B + 120B for toll and going back to the airport it costs me 200B (taxi hailed on the street) and 50B toll.
