The design is very confusing. I don't think placing bath room and bed room in different stairs is a good idea because presuming that I want to go to the bath room at night, I have to turn on 3 lights on the way to go to bath room. The service is .. so so. I do not recommend that much because it doesn't worth money.

- Backpacking
It is very beautiful, the hotel location is good, not far from the location of the fire dance, walking the beach that can reach a few hotels near the beach. If a passenger has a large baggage, it is advisable to take a boat (back and forth baht 100) to the Saddam Island wharf and then turn minivan past (a trip to the baht 100). After the island to close the baht 200 island fee. Sailing boats will be on the beach wading ashore, soft sand difficult to pull luggage. To go to the hotel have a waiter to help you pull luggage. Breakfast is also very rich. But to live in the island of the United States, please remember to bring anti-mosquito liquid, hat yu sunscreen!

Great Place to Chill & Relax
Booked two deluxe rooms for the family, both on the second floor. To get to the hotel we chartered a speed boat, which was reasonably priced and dropped us off on the beach as close to the hotel as possible. There is a barriered section in-front of the hotel to protect the swimmers. Met straight off the boat by the Army so we could pay the park fees. Two prices apply depending on Thai or non Thai, kids are free. Whilst paying the fees the hotel & boat staff carried our luggage up to reception area. Check in was quick and easy & we were given cold drinks then led to the rooms. The rooms we had very spacious with a very large walk in shower. Room décor was a bit basic but we were only there to sleep. The balcony was great to sit out on in early evening or first thing in the morning. Breakfast offered a good selection of Thai and western choices, enough to choose from. The beach front bean bags are a little dated, but still adequate to relax on with a towel. Beach side service was also efficient. They handed us a press to call bell. Drink and meal prices are reasonable, my only slight complaint was a large sign at the bar saying happy hours, but was only from 1-2PM and when I ordered draft beers was told they were not part of the deal, so tried to order bottled beer to be told the same thing. Seems “Happy Hours: is only from 1-2 and for cocktails. Overall a great place to relax and chill. Its far enough away from the nosier part of the beach, but only a short walk into town if you need things.

RUBBISH is the only word to conclude the resort
A very bad experience with Samed Grandview Resort. 1) just two days before check-in, the resort informed us that the hotel was fulled, but they did confirm our booking by email 3 weeks before check-in date. Finally, we have changed our plan and forced to separate with our friends. 2) The signage of the direction was a fool. We followed the singage (50 meter to Samed Grandview) and found the back entrance of the resort but it was closed. 3) All staffs in the hotel like zombies, no smile at all and they didn't inform us (nor any signage) that the front desk will be closed after 23:00. 4) Room Dlx10, the room itself is quite good, pretty big enough. However, it was a room under a staircase and it was totally no soundproof at all. PEOPLE run up and down at the staircase in a whole day. Impossible to get into sleep. Conclusion: I would not recommend this hotel. If you booked it already, requested them not to asssign a room under a staircase to you. And never prefer anything from the staffs.

new hotel, great location
the overall rating reflects the mixed experience here. the deluxe rooms are clean, the bed "only" queen size. furniture looks already old. the bedroom is upstairs. so if you need to go to the toilet at night you have to walk down the stairs, not really something i like. When we arrived the reservation we did 2 days ago was not found. They let us wait until I complained that the check in time was set for 2 pm and it was well past. Breakfast was included and ok, nothing stunning. Beach is close, but the hotel chairs are used by visitors coming with a speed boat. (i know because I watched them go to the speed boat at 4 pm). hotel staff does not care that they block seats for the paying guests.

We don't come back
Room is good and spacious. Big breakfast buffet in the morning. 3 minutes walk to the beach from your room. Also not so far away from other eating facilities and shops. Hygiene is terrible: brown spots on our fresh towels, stains on the bed sheets. Staff should have noticed this! Windows were dirty as so our inside glass door. Our sheet at our breakfast table had holes in it. Cleaning staff leaves empty plates with food in the bedroom halls. After asking it for 3 times, they took it away. Staff is not friendly at all. Everything is done for the big Chinese groups and we are second range guests. After complaining by the manager that those people bang at doors at night (12pm), he said it was normal. The bar at the beach is okay. But the music is very loud, constantly the same song and you have to watch out for the staff who plays volleybal. My friend got hit 3 times, while sitting at the beach bar. Prices for the food are too high. We would not come back here, if we consider how much we paid for 5 nights.
