Holiday Inn & Suites STILLWATER - UNIVERSITY WEST by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Friendly and efficient check in. Unfortunately the room had a foul musty smell mixed with lingering cigarette smoke and cleaner. The wall a/c unit was covered in dirt and dust. Bed was too firm for my husband, but ok for me. The bathroom appeared mostly clean with a few stains. Thankfully we only spent one night and it was not an expensive room.

No hot water Friday or Saturday. Was not informed upon check in. Charges way more than the hotel rate was for the night to not have hot water. This means the towels were not washed in hot water either. Staff said they were aware and were waiting repairs. We stayed to have hot showers and sleep but that did not happen.

The most accommodating and friendly staff I have ever experienced! Steve was an absolute gem!

1st room smelt like an animal had stayed in there, so we changed rooms!! The carpet are out dated and needs to be replaced.

No hot water in the shower

Very clean. Quiet. Freezing when we got in the room. Air conditioner on and it was raining with possible snow. Very little hot water all weekend. None on Sunday morning. Staff was nice. Needs updating. Overpriced

We had an extended stay. The room was not cleaned well during our stay. We thought there was a mouse in the room and when that was confirmed visually, I told the staff about it and their rely was “that doesn’t surprise me.” The breakfast buffet was pretty good, but there was never anyone around if you needed something. I might stay there again, but I’d look for other options first.

Clean and friendly staff

Stay was good as usual. A couple of things that need to be fixed are; 1) Ice Makers on each floor. (They only have 1 on the 2nd. floor) 2) Broaden the food menu for dinner. Options are iffy at best.

It was not a good stay. The tv was not working right the whole night. The guy at check in did offer to switch rooms but we got tot working but later that evening the signal went out again. Just awful. I’m a tv person and if I can’t watch tv I am not right. We just turned it off and went to bed. TVs with digital boxes are just awful. When the signal goes out who is there to fit it and then nobody in hotels have tv boxes anymore. So they was just old. Then the breakfast was just awful. The food was cold and then the coffee was warm. No creamer but hazel. How do you not have half/half or a milk substitute if hazel is the only creamer. Then the butter was hard and couldn’t spread on the toast. Just not a good experience. If we come this way this hotel will not get my money again.

Nice, clean and comfortable

We were there for three nights and four days. We had to switch rooms the first and second night because of baseball players staying there. Rooms were fine but second night we got evacuated from the wildfires and dust storms. Third night was great and we came back so when it was time for checkout we got a refund for the night we didn’t stay. So overall it was nice

Tried to check in for our reservation at 3:30pm, no rooms available, came back around 7:30pm, hotel was evacuated. Was never able to actually check in, had to drive 3.5 hours home that night instead of staying in Stillwater.

Great place to stay to go see a student at OSU.

Very nice, there for an Oklahoma State event.

Very clean, modern design, great front desk employees, great service.

It was very clean! Very quiet and comfortable. What I didn’t like is that the faucet in the tub wouldn’t work properly. I could hardly take a shower because the water wouldn’t come out of the shower head hardly at all. Also, the person who checked us in was cold, and borderline rude.

Our stay at this hotel was great. Steve at the front desk was very kind and helpful. Room was clean and had everything we needed. We would stay here again .

I don't usually write reviews, good or bad, but I need to vent on this one: I showed up for my reservation at 12:15am, about an hour later than I had anticipated because of a flight delay. I walked into the hotel, and nobody was there. I waited. I knocked on the office door. Nothing. After 15 minutes, I called the hotel phone...it started to ring at the desk where I was standing, and I let it ring for 10 minutes. Nobody answered, nobody came out. Wanting to get some sleep, I went next door to a neighboring hotel and got a room. In the morning, I logged on to request a refund from Hotels.com, explaining the situation to them. They contacted the hotel, who rejected my request, saying I had not checked in on time AND claiming that there was a 'night auditor' on staff that was there at the hotel. If that was the case, they were doing a horrible job...I could have literally walked out with their computers and furniture, and nobody would have stopped me. I have NEVER had a major brand hotel not take a late arrival, or refuse a refund for a reasonable request. So, I'm out my room fee, and had to waste part of my morning spending time on the website logging a complaint. That's life sometimes. But if you don't like the idea of sleeping in a hotel room with nobody in the lobby and nobody to handle an emergency, you might want to choose another hotel. And whatever you do, don't let your flight be delayed!
