Per Hotel, There were no reservations. Hotels/Booking. com web page was taking reservations, where rooms were not available. They gladly moved me, and a 2nd couple that had the same issue to a sister hotel. THey transported us to a hotel about 8 blocks away called Blue Zafiro. Hotel was pretty nasty. but, at 3AM after waiting on this room,I just slept for a few hours and left in the morning.

I received confirmation that everything was okay and no need to reconfirm from orbitz. However , when contacting the hotel on the same day of my flight I started noticing some issues. The person at the phone handled me with an unfriendly and impatient tone. I asked for a transfer to the hotel and this was never done. So from that point I suspected something weird was going on. At arrival via regular taxi they told me at the front desk that there was no room available and that they did not know what Orbitz was. Via telephone the general manager promised to place me in another hotel for free but changed the tune quickly to charge me for staying. So I booked another hotel via another website. I do not know who is at fault here and Orbitz is very difficult place to ask for issues like this.

Hotel Zafiro is a tribute to dangerous informality. For starters, the infrastructure consists of an old residential home converted into a so called boutique hotel. There are no evacuation or scape routes since the rooms and hallways lack fire exits and/or windows. I am not an expert, but this must constitute a violation to the fire safety code of most American cities. Second, Hotel Zafiro offers paid amenities such as a shuttle service to different parts of the city in privately owned vehicles, not UBER like, they use unlicensed and uninsured cars for public service; even in Colombia that is illegal. Next, Since there is a lack of windows and circulating air, sheets and towels have a stale smell to add to a claustrophobic feeling. In addition, Hotel Zafiro lodges large groups, such was the case during my stay, with out having the appropriate infrastructure. During my stay they lodged a large group of kids crammed in the tiny social areas such as very small pantry and a small living room turned temporarily into a dining room. Imagine a crowded college dorm with a very, very small day room, exactly a chaotic atmosphere. Last but not least, Hotel Zafiro sells itself online or using e-commerce as a, "Boutique Hotel," a very over employed name for a place that does not facilitate shampoo, lotion, or even a bath cap. In conclusion Hotel Zafiro is a dangerous tribute to informality.

Es muy cómoda y asequible. Falta espejo en el baño. Un tapete o toalla a la salida de la ducha.

El baño tenía una fuga en el desagüe del lavamanos y encharcó el piso.

Muy buena atención por parte del personal que nos atendió. Muy limpio y esta ubicado en una buena zona donde no se escuchan ruidos de los carros. El.desayuno muy rico

Fue pésimo, porque a pesar de que llame dos veces a confirmar la reserva, nunca la realizaron y llegue a la 1 de la mañana cansado del viaje y me dicen que no hay ninguna reserva hecha, y que no tenían habitaciones disponibles, lo cual fue muy molesto teniendo en cuenta la hora en que llegaba y las veces que habia llamado a confirmar la reserva

Si lo que buscas es un alojamiento bien ubicado, comodo, agradable, con desayuno, economico en tu viaje de paseo o negocio, te presento para mi la mejor opcion si no buscas mayores lujos

hice la reserva por la aplicación y cuando llegue al hotel no habian habitaciones.

Definitivamente la mejor opción cuando el motivo de la visita es ubicarse cerca de la embajada Americana La recepción el Sr Javier y el Sr Sony asi como el equipo de trabajo son cordiales , eficientes y colaboradores
