Our room was upgraded and they went the extra mile to reserve us a parking space for my disabled wife, which I was surprised they did as its advertised parking is restricted. The bar was having some repair so no draught beers and only bottles which seemed expensive.

Good location but hugely expensive for what it is. Tired room, air con is buggy (automatically turns off then resets to uncomfortably warm), shower is so so, bed is poor with noisy springs. For the price you’d think it might be nice but the Premiere Inn up the road is much better and cheaper.

I had two rooms booked with them. I met a blanket with a blood stain on it! Called the reception, they brought another one and a cover, told me to put it myself! No apologies, nothing! I arrived early in the morning, they said the rooms wouldn’t be ready until close to 2pm. I sat in the lobby and went back twice to check with them around 1pm and 1:30pm, was told not ready. When I saw around 1:50pm people line up by the reception, the same receptionist didn’t even do me the courtesy to inform me that rooms were ready I could check in due to the fact that I was waiting there since morning, or they didn’t remember or care. I had to join the line to start again. For the second room, my family arrived after 3pm but their room wasn’t ready. We didn’t get the second room until around 5pm. If you also see the bathtub issue, room card issue and water charge lecture in my other room review, you would agree with me. I’ve travelled around the world and been careful and successful booking my hotels on Expedia. I have to say this hotel is my worst in terms of amenities and service. Terrible! But I will give a 5-star for the location! Hope other travelers find this useful.

I chose it because if its location which is the only thing that meets my expectation. Everything else is terrible. 1. The bathtub plug was broken: when it went in flat, it couldn’t come out. I had to call for help 7am in the morning, someone came with a screwdriver to get it out and told me that I should not have put it in. I was like WHAT THE xxxx is this? How could you take a bath leaving the plug open? I told them to send the maintenance to fix it during the day when I was not there. Never happened! I met so much hair inside the plug hole and it was never cleaned for that day. I left the next morning anyway, by thinking of that bathtub making my stomach sick. 2. I never met bottled water in the room upon my arrival. I saw other guests asking water from the reception, so I did twice. On the second time, I was lectured by the receptionist that they don’t provide complimentary water, if I ask water again, I will be charged £1 per bottle. I was surprised, and responded by telling them to state that on their property conditions on Expedia so guests can be aware and also inform us upon arrival. 3. The key cards malfunction frequently like everyday to lock people out. I had to go back to the reception for them to reset my cards after I reach the room not being able to open my door. I was told to Keep them away from my phone, which I did. But it still happens. Then they just say the cards are super sensitive. So inconvenient, but they just let it happen every day to everyone.

The hotel is near Angel Station. However, it is a 15-minute walk from St Pancras International/King's Cross, and you do need to take the tube/train at that station half of the time. Lots of dining options and supermarkets around.
