Good location for a concert at MS Bank Arena. Nicely decorated room with a walk-in shower and a bath, good room provisions and a good-sized kettle. Staff were helpful and service was quick. Food (dinner and breakfast) was good, but wasn't worth the high price.

We arrived into Liverpool early and the multi-storey car park opposite was super handy, safe and secure. As we were early our Club Room was not available but we were able to leave our bags. We checked in around 16:30 and had room 622 on the 6th floor. Only one lift was in operation. When we got into Club Room it was roasting so we quickly put the key in power supply and turned the aircon onto Cool and set as low as possible 16oC. The room was clean and well presented. We showered and made our way out for tea as the room was too hot. We left a room key in the power to keep the air con and to hopefully cool before we came back. When we returned around 10pm the room was still hot but as we were knackered so hopped into bed. The bed was comfy, but only having one pillow each sucked. Our Sauna Room wasn’t cooling and by 04:30 after tossing and turning we decided enough was enough, we got up packed and checked out, nobody on the 24/hr reception, after kicking about for 5 minutes we placed the key behind the desk and began our drive back to Scotland meaning we missed the breakfast we paid for too.

Malmaison is located in a great spot on the Mersey river. Close to the shopping centre and many landmarks. Was 40 mins walk to the new Everton Stadium which was the purpose of my stay.

Helpful staff. Not keen on the decor - too dark. TV in an odd place. Nice that my request for quiet room on a lower floor was arranged.
