Hotel Petén Express - Hostel

Room and the whole place was pleasant and sparkling clean.

Special mention to the front desk person Sandy. She really helped me out with flight changes, went above and beyond. The room was nice, sharing one bathroom with 6 people it was quite dirty but once the cleaners came through it was fine. great location and if you aren't there in the morning for breakfast they make a sandwich for you to take with you.

No pusieron el aire acondicionado. Supuestamente lo enciende a las 8 pm y no lo hicieron. El internet nunca funcionó y lo reporte y nunca lo arreglaron.

Lovely place, pretty calm, right in front of the Petén Itzá Lake, where you can take a swim.

Great Hostel

This was the best hostel we stayed at in Guatemala. The service is great and the hostel itself is very nice. The breakfast was also very good and they have a variety to choose from.

Great location, view to the lake, friendly staff. They also have a good restaurant at the hotel.

El hotel es perfecto para un grupo de amigos. Hay dormitorios pequeños solo para dormir y cuartos más grandes. El restaurante LA CHAYA es el mejor de todo Flores!

I like the place but i hate 2 things first one that we couldnt do the chech in before 2 Pm we can and we were do tired we wanted to rest and take a shower but we couldn't and the installations are no open all the time st 10 Pm the start to close everything

The room was hot and I couldn’t turn on the AC. I went to the front desk and I was told the AC is only from 8 pm to 8 AM

A great hostel with a gorgeous little swimming pool, amazing staff, clean hot running water, a/c, free breakfast. Modern, Just such a shame about the noise from the local club, if you're up for 3am for a sunrise tour at tikal expect little sleep

The hostel would be amazing place to stay, great staff , amazing location, beautiful views, decent breakfast, clean rooms and bathrooms with hotwater. if it wasn't for the noise from the club down the road it's so loud that it's a constant thumping til 1am every night even with ear plugs I found very difficult to get any sleep, plus the heat is very uncomfortable. In the dorms the A/c is on from 8pm

I spent a night in Flores before traveling to Tikal, so I’m basing this of one night. I rented a hostel for 5 and were given a room with six beds. I was a bit skeptic at first since I read there was no AC, but our hostel had one and we had no issues with it so that was great. The location was perfect and we were given a complimentary breakfast which was tasty. I have no complaints other than them asking 100Q for a key and 10Q per towels which we were not informed about. This part was a bit of an inconvenience as we had no money and couldn’t pay with my card. I had to go to a atm which wasn’t far, but I wish they would’ve told me about it in advance. Other than that the location, atmosphere, and food was good. Would definitely stay here again.

Spent 2 nights here in a dorm at end of February. Absolutely great stay - great service by Juan, nice breakfast, very good value for money. Nice pool ( cool water) but comfortable sun lounges overlooking the lake. Wifi all good.

My son and I stayed only one night in the shared dorm and it was great. Very clean and super comfortable beds with convenient outlets and personal reading lights in each bunk. The location is great right on the main water front walk. The patio is lovely to drink a cold beer or frozen drink while checking out the water and the scene walking past. I would recommend staying. The food was a bit expensive but you get a lot. I would not recommend the pasta go for the tacos instead.

The 6 bed dorm room was okay but with no window in the room. Extra toilets in hallway, breakfast was included in the rate I had which was good. Had a light and electrical plugs at each bed. But the could add curtains around the beds for more privacy.

Wonderful stay with very helpful employees there is even a pool available
