Liked room as it family friendly and din like about limited option on food and quality

The property is under going renovation because of which there is lot of noise and dust is in the air, quite a run down place, wait for 2026 before you plan a trip here . Good location though, everything is within 500m of the priority.

Hotel Mahabs has some real faded charm. My room was basic, but comfortable (though in four days I only managed to get hot water once). The best feature: the beautiful balcony area. I spent a lot of time there! The staff were, generally, friendly and helpful, but there was a lot of noise from construction work and the all-night bus depot out the back of my room. Not the most peaceful setting. The pool is a great size and kept reasonably clean, but it too has seen better days...Overall, a pleasant, but not fantastic, stay.

This property is a great value if you are staying in Mahabalipuram. Its a bit dated however the staff is excellent and accommodating. The location is perfect for visting the temples and the beach.

Nice simple affordable hotel in the middle of Mamallapuram’s main attractions. The hotel is basic but has great rooms with fantastic pool area. Restaurant is ok but there are better options outside the hotel.

The place is smack in the middle of the temples and sights, has a pool for cooling off and a good restaurant. Bed is comfortable and the rates are very reasonable.

2 night stay, this is a basic hotel which has probably seen better days, however the location is close to all the sites, shopping and restaurants. Ac/fan are good , shower and toilet clean and functional. Used the restaurant once, the lobster was fresh and cooked very well, the price was extremely good value, the waitress from Darjeeling was pleasant and helpful. The downside was the amount of mosquitoes in the room and the bad wi fi connection ( however this is a common problem in many hotels in India) lastly some not all of the staff on reception need to be a little more professional in their approach to guests needs, good customer care is a big factor when choosing a hotel for most people. Wifi and TV was not working. Even intercom was not working. A bit uncomfortable experience.

No facilities was there, even it was difficult to get drinking water. The workers were lazy

Location is good and hotel is old and TV was not working properly and blanket were not proper swimming pool was nice..

A very good hotel by budget standards. Good room with balcony, wifi and hot shower. Pool and sunbeds. Reasonable restaurant. In the town, yet close to beach and tourist attractions. Staff very helpful and friendly.

North Indian food too good.

this hotel was a bit of a mixed bag--- great pool, good food in the restaurant, large clean room--- but --- a cold shower for 3 out of 7 mornings and a very diffident attitude from many ( not all ! ) of the staff. They don't seem to be a happy bunch. The pool man was most attentive and friendly.

A good budget hotel. I was put in the “Expedia” room for my first night. It was clean but smelled of sewage and there were mosquitoes. Next morning I asked nicely if I could have a higher up room and the front desk person told me “I’ll send a boy to clean.” I was going for a walk so I gave her my key and told her “please have the boy move my things to another room.” Returned a few hours later and nothing had been done. Asked another person who gladly changed my room and the next two nights were comfortable. Overall friendly staff. Food OK. Crows would land at your table and eat off your plate if you didn’t watch out. Way too many smokers on the grounds. Most ppl just came for a night or two but spending a little longer helped me get used to the ins and outs and make my way a bit happier. One more thing: unbelieveably excellent Kerala massage. I got one a day while I was there. If you have time ask the front desk to arrange for you!

Deluxe Room Pros - Big & spacious, clean, with veranda, good location (walking distance to most of the attractions), mini fridge, good breakfast choice, good restaurant with reasonable price [ prawn briyani was great :-) ] Cons - Quite often hot shower (pump) available upon request only, mosquitoes however repellent provided in room, 2 single beds joined not queen/king size, air cond control by circuit breaker [off or on only]

2,nuits dans cet hôtel parfaitement bien situé au centre et près des temples . Chambre propre , agréable , de bon goût ; table et petit salon devant la chambre agréable . Piscine bien appréciée même si peu de matelas. Literie parfaitement convenable . Personnel discret mais e l’écoute . Par contre , wifi … pas au rendez-vous.

Rummet var slitet men hyfsat rent. En storstädning skulle behövts. Wifi krånglade en del. Personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam. Läget var bra, presis bredvid de gamla templen. Nära till restauranger.
