I usually stay in 5-star and 4-star hotels. But... 2 nights staying at this hotel was a bad experience, it's not like a 4-star hotel in general. The deluxe room smelled so bad that I tried to open the window for a few hours. The pillows and blankets smelled. The shower was really old-fashioned. Only the towels smelled good. Asked for a room to be cleaned but they only tidied it up... Spilled drinks on the floor were not cleaned even though I had told them to clean them. There was no iron. The hotel staff were quite friendly, only the security.

The hotel is comfortable and clean. The location is strategic, close to the train station and places to eat, near Malioboro. I usually stay in 5-star and 4-star hotels. But... 2 nights staying at this hotel was a bad experience, it's not like a 4-star hotel in general. The deluxe room smelled so bad that I tried to open the window for a few hours. The pillows and blankets smelled. The shower was really old-fashioned. Only the towels smelled good. Asked for a room to be cleaned but they only tidied it up... Spilled drinks on the floor were not cleaned even though I had told them to clean them. There was no iron. The hotel staff were quite friendly, only the security.
