A lovely family run friendly hotel where nothing is too much trouble. Location is excellent, a short few steps to the lake front with its restaurants and shops. A five-minute walk along the lake shore pass Hotel du Pac takes you to the beach (shingle) and swimming area or walk south along the promenade all the way to Bardolino. The bus station is 5 minutes away. The hotel is on the main road but the sound proof window mean you don’t hear the traffic. Beds comfortable an excellent breakfast, both continental and cooked, and free mineral water on tap which was really appreciated. Thank you.

Great location. Great buffet breakfast. The air conditioning in the room could be improved. We were there in 36 degree weather and it was challenging to get the room to a comfortable temperature.

Very friendly staff and well located for public transport. Modern rooms with air conditioning, only drawback is there is no lift, but not a major issue. Excellent breakfast and would recommend their sister hotel across the road for an evening meal. Have stayed before and would stay again. Only complaint would be no English language on their tv system.

The hotel was really pleasant, the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered a good choice and the location is perfect, close to the waterfront and shops, albeit quiet. (room was rear facing). We pre-arranged transfers with the hotel which was fantastic. Highly recommend the hotel.

The staff at the Benaco were very welcoming and helpful (and English speaking). The hotel is just a 10 minute walk to the lakeside beach; 2 minutes to the nearest lakeside restaurants; 5 minutes to the lake ferry services; 5 minutes to the bus station for transport up and down the lake, to/from Verona and it's airport.

A lovely small hotel one block back from Lake Garda. Parking at the hotel is difficult, but excellent and secure free parking is only 600 metres away. The receptionist was warm, friendly, helpful and efficient. Just what you would hope for. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. The lakeside was alive with Italian life and ambience and so many restaurant to select from.

Great stay. Hotel spotlessly clean and staff couldn't be more helpful. Facilities everything you would expect from one of the better 3 star hotels and the breakfast was great. Free wifi in the rooms was a bonus and was quick enough to stream video on a tablet. The only downside is that the bar closed at 10pm so no chance of a nightcap - although this is not an issue as there are friendly late bars very close. Will certainly stay again.

Awesome hotel. Lovely spacious clean rooms. Great breakfast. Its a 10 min walk from bus station which has buses from the train station Peschiera and also from Verona. Only a 2 min walk down the lake side for ferries to other towns on lake and a good choice of places to eat. Lovely staff who were friendly throughout my stay. Only thing missing from perfection is a swimming pool. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

We have stayed at this hotel quite a few times and the reception staff have always been helpful and friendly. The reception area is lovely and modern, the room are nicely furnished and comfortable. We had one on the front of the hotel with a balcony overlooking the busy road but it had beautiful flowers hanging from it and looked very attractive. The only down side was that normally the buffet breakfast has been very good and kept fully stocked - this time still ok but we had to keep asking for bacon, bread and ham.

Great location by the lake, reception gave a nice recommendation for a place to eat in the evening. Friendly service and a good breakfast. 10euro a bit steep for an outside carpark, but I think that is fairly normal for Italy. It is right on the main road, but we were not disturbed by traffic (second floor) in bed.

We spent 8 nights at the Benaco and were absolutely delighted with our stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the quality of the hotel is excellent. It's location is ideal and don't let the fact that it's on the main route around Garda put you off as noise from the road was not a problem. Within a few minutes walk you are at the Lakeside and in our travels saw no other hotel that we'd rather be in. One (minor) point of disappointment was that there were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room which whilst coffee/tea was available in the delightful breakfast room, it's not the same as waking and having a coffee on your balcony. This is a minor point though and goes to show that if this was the only failing we could find, it's all good and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
