Galzignano Resort Terme & Golf - Hotel Splendid

We loved it, the girls at the reception were absolutely fabulous. Rooms aren’t super new, but very spacious, clean and comfortable. Pools are amazing and the breakfast was delicious.

Would not consider this hotel a 4 star. Any time is rained there was leaks in the ceilings, hotel room walls were dirty

Pros… the pools were great! Breakfast was subpar but if u went to the sister hotel next door “Majestic “ it was much better. Cons: they allow dogs at this hotel. we had a small dog yapping in the room next door at various times. Then there was a larger dog somewhere also barking. Complaining to management did nothing. Also if ure room is at end of hall the wi-fi is spotty if non-existent. The rooms and hotel was very clean, but the walls are paper thin between the rooms. For the price it was a good value in spite of the cons and the location was excellent for day tripping.

The saunas and the outdoor pools are wonderful. A great variety at breakfast and excellent meals in the main restaurant. Some areas need an upgrade.

Gorgeous scenery. Lovely hot pool. Good breakfast. Internet ok in rooms, not good in lobby and restaurant. Out of hotel facility dining requires driving.

Inlove the swimming pool , is thermal and gives you a real semse of relax

Angela, who works front desk, was absolutely amazing. She went out of her way to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

Everything was amazing. The service was excellent and the food exceptional! Will definitely be back!

This place truly lives up to its name. Set atop a mountain with amazing views, Each room in our party was well-thought-out and comfortable. Breakfast was good and the staff was great. Our only super minor issue is that we couldn't figure out how to turn down the heat so our room was a bit toasty and there was no tea kettlein the room for morningcoffee or afternoontea. But the fridge and bathroom heated floor were bonuses!

Price/Value ratio

We originally booked for Hotel Splendid (another hotel on the same complex) but when we arrived this hotel was completely unoccupied. We were then informed that we had been transferred to the nearby hotel Sporting! This information really should have been communicated by email in advance. A similar thing happened when awaiting dinner one evening - another guest informed us that dinner was being served that evening in nearby Majestic hotel. The hotel reception meanwhile had watched several of us waiting, and didn’t bother telling us! It is a shame because the accomodation, food, and facilities are fantastic. Clearly the management and running of this complex needs a overhaul

Fantastic hotel room and service. Heated pool is superb and also enjoyed a great massage. Easy driveable for day trip to Venice too

A wonderful hotel for a very relaxing 'do little' holiday. Very helpful and friendly staff. Room was absolutely spot on.Local town has everything you want, bars etc. Train routes for Venice and Lake Garda an easy ten minutes walk to local railway station.

Great room upgrade, suite needs some maintenance but we only slept in the room. Outdoor pools are brilliant, grounds are spectacular. Will definitely be back

We were booked in Hptel Splendid. The hotel wad empty. An employee took us to the Radisson next door and the clerk forwarded us to the Sporting Hotel. Pool area and bar nice. Restaurant good. Hotel is dated. Paint peeling on the outside; mold on the balconies. An odd orangish carpet with furniture from the 70s. Was ok for an overnight. Was an older clientele.

We actually stayed in Hotel Sporting, which is part of the overall Radisson set up here. We were told it was an "upgrade" and so looked forward to it. The desk staff were very helpful and friendly and we got to our room assisted by the porter. Then we started noticing things; such as - the toilet was continually dribbling, the left hand sink (of two) only had hot water, the right hand sink had a crack in it. Then, we stepped out onto the balcony to view the area where the rubbish is stored and looked over our heads to see flaking paint and concrete just starting to rot. The room itself was very good, the beds were comfortable but, as a couple, we prefer a double bed. Lighting and carpeting were appreciated, as was the spacious cupboard to hang your clothes. While we thought breakfast was excellent and had a very good range of food, it was the evening meal that we struggled with and, I believe, the main issue for us was that the dinner staff don't speak English as this resort seems to cater for German and Italian clientele. Thus we didn't know bread was freely available and that we could have had vegetables with our main course for no extra charge. At one stage I also ordered some orange juice. My glass was taken away and replace with one half the size which was then returned half full. Indeed, I had the juice of one orange only. The setting of the dining area was lovely, comfortable and clean. The swimming pools (3) were brilliant and heated.
