This was my first hotel in Japan. Great value for the quality of the stay. The location has plenty to offer in a walkable distance, including close proximity to the Shinkansen (bullet train). I staid here to be able to visit Daihonzan Eiheiji. The bus to Eiheiji temple is at the transportation center where the Shinkansen and other trains depart.

Has a sauna, cold bath, natural bath and hot bath. Staff were excellent, and parking on the opposite side for about 1600 a night. Right in the middle of a very bustling night life. Although, windows on the 10th non smoking floor weee fastened shut and in early March the air on was very hot. Good for some. Fukui is great area though, plenty to go and see in1hr around by car.

The hotel is relatively short distance away from Fukui station, about 12-15 minutes away. The hotel room is spacious except for the bathroom. The bathroom’s age is noticeably and if you are taller than 5’11, you will have a hard time fitting in the shower.

Worse than most business hotels. I’ve stayed at over 10 APA hotels around Japan, this was the worst. Gave me a smoking room despite asking for non-smoking. If someone cleaned the blow dryer, the rag would come away black. Electric/card key locks on doors were broken so you had to use an actual key. Old, dirty, and very small. Would much rather pay an extra 1-2 thousand yen to stay at the nearby Dormy Inn, Route Inn, or Tokyo Inn.

The hotel is located at a crowded part of the city where there's a lot of night life. I personally would prefer a quieter location. The pillows are great. Facilities are okay. There are only 2 power outlets in the room, which was a bit disappointing.

Further from station than expected. A Yen700 taxi ride. Accommodation rather cramped - not much space for our two cases. WIFI Unavailable in room throughout our 3 night stay - inconvenient to go down to bath rest room to read and write emails. Breakfast mainly to suit Japanese. Bread and toaster available so helped myself to scrambled eggs on toast, Difficult to eat with chopsticks so my wife asked for a knife and fork, which staff said they didn't' have. Pointed out that this was an Italian restaurant in the evening and Italian food required cutlery - suddenly they discovered that they had got knives and forks!

The night life is booming in this area, does get a little noisy but it wasn’t terrible. Rooms like everywhere in japan are a little small but was nice to have a view of the city and conveniently located near Sakura viewing by the river! Not far from the train station either so all around a good location!

Awesome spa communal indoor and outdoor baths/Jacuzzi/dry sauna - wifi very slow, which really put a dent in the stay - a bit of a walk from the station, but the area is great for nightlife, shopping and dining (or at least, as much of it as can be had in Fukui ;) ) - no parking except disabled, nearby parking lots charge 1,080 yen per night from 7-7, and an additional 100 yen per hour before/after that period - just make sure you're aware of that if you're driving (I wasn't). Room is small but very clean (because, Japan). Didn't have the breakfast, but going off other APA hotels and a peek in the dining room, it's great and well worth it if you're a breakfast person. They're pretty strict about guests in the rooms who aren't staying, according to the signs.
