Bettei Soan

This place is a wonderful escape. It is very rural and rustic. The wonderful staff will accommodate your every need and the food is incredible. We had such a relaxing stay. Book a room with a private tub. You will not regret it.

Fantastic place to stay! From the moment we arrived we felt very well cared for. The room(s) were spotless and in beautiful shape. The soaking tub in the room was a real treat that we took advantage of. And the meals were phenomenal!

The property, meals & staff/services are above expectations! It was golden week and was glad to have stayed here. Minami Aso is beautiful with gorgeous mountains & surroundings.

Thsi is the second time we've stayed at Bettei Soan, it's an amazing place to stay. The service is impeccable, the villas are beautiful and have every amenity you could possibly need. The private onsen is wonderful, and the japanese breakfast is delightful. I cannot fault it

Hotel staff is very sincere and helpful and speaks very good English. We corresponded earlier via messaging, she was very concerned when we arrived late, asked if we had dinner first thing we got off our car, as the recommended restaurant for dinner to suit our children was closing at 9pm. She was able to recommend us places to visit with children around the hotel. It was raining the 2 days while we were in Mimani Aso. It was very cool and cosy and all the staff there were so nice that fully complemented the entire experience. Amenities provided for men as well. Breakfast was customed to our preferred taste, served to our double-storey villa. View from room was fantastic. In-room onsen was excellent and everything still look new and well-maintained though this villa is alrdy 11 year old! We highly recommed and will love to return again.

Good but a bit expensive

Nice private onsen and delicious food. Being able to use the public bath of the main building is a plus.

One of the best hotel I stay in Japan, superb service, and onsen. I booked Villa #5, totally amazing. Expensive Yes but totally worth it.

Private hot spring bath in the room is amazing. First time in a Traditional Japanese room style. Very nice in the area. Nothing much to do nearby except for staying in the room. Food is served at the room but food quality can be better.

Staff were very attentive and the place was private. The double bed was a king size. Views of the mountain.

Helpful, generous staff, first rate in-room meals (breakfast and dinner), peaceful, beautiful property.

お部屋のつくりが機能的でゆったりしてて、お部屋の内湯も素敵だし、本館の真新しい大浴場も本当に良かった。特にサウナは最高。食べ切れないほど美味しい食事、そしてそれにも負けない接客サービス。また是非利用したいと強く思いました。

近くの馬刺し店を聞いたら丁寧に教えて頂きました。お風呂の掛け流しの調子が悪い事を伝えると即対応して貰えて良かったです。
