ibis Porto Gaia

Staff were excellent. Mattress was not the greatest and rooms small. Wife woke up at night to sewer gas smell a few times( and it wasn’t me lol). Lighting in washroom was also poor. Second time in an ibis property I’ll look elsewhere next time.

Quiet area

Located in a easy area to get to all the main attractions by uber or taxi

Property is very good and the bed was very comfortable.. but as many hotels in Europe the A/C was not cooling enough.

We reached the hotel at 2 am.. The receptionist was not friendly at all as if we were not supposed to reach the hotel at 2:00 am! The room is so small no safe, no closet, there's no space to even walk or place your luggage! Breakfast was decent though..

Excellent place and value

Clean property with modern look. Isolated location far from most places. Many expected services were only available for additional fee or upgrade not provided. Not available: - no water in room - no safe in room - no fridge - no iron/press - no gym, no pool, loud outdoors

Was a very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Rooms were nice, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Parking was available. Not too far from historic downtown and the river, just a short taxi drive. Only issue we had was the fact that you had to drive out to find restaurants, we did not try to walk because it seemed complicated. There is a shopping mall a few minutes away with an excellent food court.

Excellent hotel. Not located in an area near shopping or dining.

The breakfast here was amazing! You can even make freshly squeezed orange juice! The hotel and rooms are nice, and staff were all wonderful. Thank you for a great stay!

Staff are amazing! Polite, helpful and very friendly. A special thank you for the room cleaner, outstanding service. Breakfast is delicious. Definitely my place to stay when I’m back to the city. Thank you all

Really happy with our stay! We arrived later than expected and pleased to find the restaurant was open all night so we could grab something to eat before bed. And the breakfast was awesome, many pastry choices, cereal, eggs, coffee and juice as well. We stayed in a regular room and while it was fine for two people (who were hardly in the room anyway) I would consider booking the bigger comfort suites in the future (plus you can get river views).

Handy for theport

Ibis is a decent average place to stay, nothing fancy. A bit out of the way from the Porto water for walking, but a nice view of it. Value stay for sure. if you're looking for good basic place to be, this works. One negative is the cost of food at the hotel, Breakfast was WAY overpriced.

The hotel had some great views from the property. The staff was wonderful.
