Very much enjoyed my time at this hotel & would visit again without hesitation. Food, activities along with scenery were exceptional! Staff were fantastic (Mariana Silva)in particular & check-in/out was smooth.

This hotel was CLOSED when we got there for major refurbishment or whatever. Neither Hotels.com nor Pestana contacted us beforehand to advise us of this, so we had to sort out our night’s accommodation for ourselves. SHAME on you Hotels.com

Never stay here. Only one floor has AC. Out of 10 day stay, only 4 dishes out of all meals [all inclusive] were tasty. I'm used to GOOD Portuguese food! This wasn't! Outdated building. Shabby amenities [ripped bathroom towels]. Canceled scheduled activity after ppl showed up for swim fitness class. Open balcony gym located over dining room. So while eating, you can hear the person running on the treadmill because you are in thr same room.

I didn’t like that was no air conditioner and that was unacceptable, dinnind area everybody was swetting and on the walking area, and I had to change room upon arrival because I was assuming every room had air conditioner but I paid xtra for that. Also entertainment was poor beeing the the hotel is so far from the city they should have better atractions

Lovely location near the sea.Hotel area and our room was very clean and towels etc changed daily.Food and drink excellent with plenty to choose from.Also liked the free shuttle bus to Funchal. Massage offered and spa facilities great.Visited also sauna and jacuzzi.

All suites were true oceanfront and comfortable. Service was excellent and the staff friendly and conversant in many languages. Food was excellent and plentiful. Complimentary brookfieldox lunches were even provided upon notice for day trips. Entertainment was varied and lively. Special thanks to Mariana and Helen in guest relations. Also bartenders Hugo and Ivan,and server Hernani.

Very nice ocean view property very friendly staff however because of size of the property they could use a larger restaurant or a second one . besides that beautiful property and location very close to Funchal Downtown and the beautiful Marine.

Not much really Too far to go into Funchal so Taxis became very expensive All that was available was the pool but as the weather was bad we couldn't use it So nothing else we could do
