Very friendly hosts and very helpful, room clean with everything you would need, great breakfast.

I didn’t want to leave! They were amazing there. Staff were incredibly nice, and helpful when I had questions. I got to meet a few locals who welcomed me to their table and conversation. Everyone at the hotel made me feel welcome and like family. There is a nice pub that is a part of it. The food was great, and for vegetarians they had tasty options. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. I can’t wait to go back!

Great story of the owners’ passion to open a pub in a small town. The local atmosphere is very warm. Food is great. Decor is inviting.

Lovely gem of a pub with great food, lovely ambience and super-friendly host and staff. The bedroom was clean, comfortable and spacious and at the price point was excellent value for money. Great stop-off point just a few minutes off the motorway. At the price point it is great value. Oh, and the delicious breakfast was carefully prepared and presented. I must sound like a relative or shareholder! 😊

Wonderful just amazing people and such a warm welcome! Dog friendly doesn't really do it justice at all, Bruar might just book and come back without us! 😁 Food is just excellent, dinner, breakfast everything was just perfect. Great bar with lovely locals up for a chat. Great location and perfect for exploring Glen Devon, Glen Eagle's estate. Wonderful coming back as soon as we can! Thanks guys!

Stayed here with our two dogs . Beautiful hotel in a fantastic setting, owners and staff great , breakfast fab and we ate there both nights and it was great . Brilliant beer garden at the rear we loved it here and will definitely return here with our boys . Great location for getting out and about sightseeing

Smiddy Haugh was a lucky find. It's off the main drag but with easy access to and from the A9. Family run, with excellent catering, a well-stocked bar and quiet, comfortable rooms at very reasonable prices. On site parking is a bonus. The hosts were welcoming and personable and we felt that our custom was valued throughout. A further bonus for us was having our dogs accommodated too. A very satisfying stayover and we'd certainly stay there again.

Wonderful Haven of comfort and great food. Great stay, made extremely welcome and their oh so comfortable beds meant we both got a great night's sleep. If you are eating there do try the rump steak it is superb. Excellent choices for breakfast for us GF folk too. We shall be back soon. 5🌟

We think it was excellent, from the time we parked until we left,the service was excellent the food was really god.

I arrived late for check in and the restaurant had closed but the owner made me something as i had been traveling all day, I was also leaving too early the next day so the owners again my me a take away bag as an alternative, they really went out of their way and it was really appreciated. Nice dog friendly pub too, had fusses with owners dog who was lovely and friendly. Would 100% reccomend

Lovely old building which has been restored in a relaxed but stylish way. We received a very warm welcome from all staff especially Jasper the black lab. We were staying to go to a family party so sadly didn’t get a chance to have dinner-menus look great. Would highly recommend and very good value

We had a fantastic stay at Smiddy Haugh. We were made to feel very welcome by the hosts and other staff. They also are extremely dog friendly. The food was excellent as was the choice of drinks. Breakfast was delicious and lots of options. Would definitely stay again.
