Overall great place! Very charming, and stylish! Remember that bathroom is shared ;)

It’s just one amazing place run by people who love what they do and it really feels that way. Could not have hoped for a better base form my Taipei adventure. Book it if you see any availability!

The OrigInn Space facilities were clean, comfortable, full of character, and very cozy. We loved playing jazz albums on the record player in our room to wake up in the morning and the additional touches (like the coffee packets with a lovely note on our door to welcome us, and earplugs to help us sleep as the building is quite old and lacks some soundproofing) made us feel very at home. The staff were kind and helpful especially when we needed to switch rooms (due to availability for our dates) outside of normal business hours. We hope to stay again in the near future!

Open is the best

The Originn is a beautiful place to stay. The building is full of character and the decoration is cool without being over the top. Love that they have records and books to borrow. It is very relaxing. The staff were super friendly and informative. Didn't know before hand that the bathroom is a short outside balcony walk from the room so not ideal if you need to get up during the night. Also I assume due to the age of the property the walls are super thin and you can clearly hear other guests' conversations. Overall excellent though and we will be staying here again. Thank you

Great spot, the area is filled with beautiful old buildings and cool bars. It close to the train station and a great night market. The place was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended staying here while in Taipei.

The goods: Unique style, well maintained, friendly staff, free drinks in the cafe, great location, giant bathtub The bads: Super loud at night, no elevator, washroom is outside the hallway, no 24hr room service, and i already said it before but it is really loud ay night because of poor sound proof walls and windows

It’s a very very nice renovation project for the second new life of the old building as a hotel.

A hundred-year-old building given a new lease on life. Love every detail and corner of the living museum. Excellent taste for the furnishings. The turntable was an added plus!

Amazing little hotel in the heart of a historic district. The sense of style and aesthetic is amazing. Hands down my favorite hotel in Taipei now. The owner is amazingly gracious, offers up an amazing latte at the coffee shop on the first floor.

The staffs are super nice, and even kept our carriers before check in even though it was a small hotel. Their coffee was absolutely great as well as their interior. Originn Space was a very nice place to take rest during our travel. thanks!

Located in a national register historic district, the Originn is an unique place to call home while in Taipei. We timed our stay to experience the full ambient of the Lunar New Year Pop-up Market at the Dihua Street which is only a few steps away. The market can be noisy until midnight during these weeks/month, but ear plugs are thoughtfully provided on bedside tables if needed. We choose to enjoy some great musics on the turntable equipped with high quality sound system. The building preservation and interior design are tastefully done with a cafe/design gift shop on the street level. Friendly baristas and hosts serving up top-notch hand-pour coffee and expresso drinks, complementary during your stay! Like many Taiwanese homes, there is a no-shoes rule for the guest living quarters on the 2nd & 3rd floors—A great way to keep the space spotlessly clean. We were very happy to have the 3rd floor penthouse with more than 1,200 sq.ft. to stretch out. The bathroom comes with a traditional micro-pebble deep soaking tub and amazing medicinal herb bath salt to melt the stress away. Although the bathroom is outside of the bedroom and about 30 feet away into the outdoor part of the corridor overlooking the charming courtyard, we thought it was a pleasant surprise. For quick washing and brushing, the in-room sink comes in handy. Our experience was truly delightful, we are already dreaming up the next visit in the near future!

Maybe one of the best places I’ve ever stayed at. This unique hotel is every creative persons dream. They have great coffee and the shop looks stunning. As if you were living in the shop space. Have to say though, the room I stayed in was a little noisy from the outside traffic. But apart from that this is one of the best!

Historic building with lots of history, but interior has been renovated, very stylish, with lots of design furniture. Staff is extremely friendly!
