Sherman Inn

The Sherman is a very unique place with spacious rooms and lots to enjoy for a history buff. The host was very welcoming and gave a tour of the common areas. My only negative is about the breakfast time of 8:30 which by that time we were 1.5 hours into our drive and sadly missed it.

This was our second time staying at The Sherman Inn. Our room was beautifully decorated and clean, and very inviting for our overnight stay. We love staying here.

Cute little place with enormous rooms all of which are decorated in home style. This would be the perfect place if you wanted to get away to pursue some personal project in a calm environment. Very good breakfast too. You can even cook your own lunch or dinner if you want to.

A rare experience, especially for anyone looking for an out of the ordinary B&B. The owners' enthusiasm is truly infectious and their love of the history reflected in the decor of each room is impressive.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sherman Inn. It’s a quaint and unique B&B and the owners were very friendly and accommodating and showed us around even though we arrived later in the evening. It’s family friendly as well with big rooms and other areas available for kids. We hope to be back in the area again for another stay.

Stay was amazing. Jim and Donna are the friendliest people I ever met. Breakfast was fantastic!

It is an interesting and uniquely charming B&B with huge rooms. We wished the breakfast was served a little longer and later than 8:30 till 9.

Absolutely most unique bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in. It happened to be my husbands elementary school decades ago. Each classroom is converted into huge suites that have presidential themes. The details for the decor and history was incredible. Donna did an amazing job. Jim you are one of a kind human. The history of the place from the playroom to the library was intense. Thanks for keeping this gem preserved. Breakfast was amazing too. No parking fees or late checkout fees. It’s like being home and cared for. Access to the kitchen 24/7 for water or coffee and snacks was a perk you can’t find.

This is a converted school so it's a unique experience. I loved it! The rooms are enormous, there is a pool, the owners are lovely, and the bed was hands down the MOST comfortable bed I've ever been in.

Largest B&B room we have.ever stayed in! Beds comfortable, breakfast was excellent. Hosts very nice and helpful with local suggestions.

Re. Sherman Inn in Ogdensburg, New York Jim & Donna Reagen were excellent hosts. I especially loved Jim's knowledge of the Sherman Inn (schoolhouse), etc. The room was HUGE and nicely decorated (kudos to Donna) in a Presidential theme. The bed was comfortable (I slept well and usually when away from home I don't). The breakfast was tasty and was a nice benefit to the stay. Would I stay at the Sherman Inn again - ABSOLUTELY! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

This is the neatest place to stay in the area. The beds are so comfortable, and the towels are the softest I have ever encountered. The breakfast and tea were amazing. Wow! Just wow! Book your stay here. It is so cool!

My fiancé and I had an amazing stay at the Sherman Inn. The room was spacious, and the blankets and robes were incredibly soft and luxurious. Breakfast was absolutely delicious—fresh, hearty, and clearly made with love. Donna and her husband were such warm, welcoming hosts. The inn itself is full of charm and history, making our stay feel extra special. Highly recommend if you’re looking for comfort, hospitality, and a touch of local character!

You will not find better accommodations in Ogdensburg. Sherman inn used to be Sherman Elementary School and the rooms are classroom size. The space is amazing. I ate breakfast every morning during my week long stay and I probably gained 10 lbs.😆. Jim and Donna went the extra mile to make my stay pleasant. I will most definitely stay at the Sherman Inn again in the future. I highly recommend The Sherman Inn, you won't be disappointed.

A place so nice I stayed there twice- my departing flight was cancelled so spent an additional night- hots were excellent very accommodating even picked up a drop off from airport (breakfast included was always great)

Great place very interesting- a former school the old classrooms were converted to massive rooms- worth the visit at least once to stay here (fantastic breakfast is provided too)
