Great location right in the heart of the old quarter so lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful and the onsite breakfast and restaurant were fab. I stayed in a balcony room and the outside space was great. The only downside was my hotel transfer from the airport to the hotel which did not show up which meant my arrival was a bit stressful. My advice, book yourself a grab instead

Staff were all so Friendly and welcoming. Rooms clean and cosy and location of the hotel very convenient; near many attractions such as Hoan Kiem lake and the weekend night market. Many selections at breakfast and thoughtful inclusions in the room; staff, notably Hannah made sure we were well taken care of & our airport transfers arranged well.

We stayed here for three nights in two stays with our Halong Bay cruise in between them. We wanted to travel light and take just backpacks. Hotel had no issue in keeping our suitcases safely locked away for us. From the moment you arrive to the time you depart, you can expect top class service with lots of friendly smiles. One of the front desk managers , Sophie (I guess this as she wore a smart business suit compared to the others who were in traditional Ao Dai outfits), went out of her way to make sure we got our Halong Bay tour bus. As it was a bigger bus it couldn’t come down our tight street so she took the call from our guide and then personally escorted us with one of the doorman up to the corner where she had arranged for us to be picked up. The room was modern in a classic French style and everything worked perfectly. It was small but it was what we paid for and what you expect in a major city where land is precious. We actually got an upgrade to same room type but a better view on both occasions, one with lake views on the top floor. Very comfortable with a great walk in shower and top notch bed and bedding. Breakfast is on the twelfth floor with views of the city and Lake Hoan Kiem. Staff are very friendly & very attentive & switched on. The buffet itself is EXCELLENT! Egg station includes Eggs Benedict & also local noodle soup. The location is very convenient. Definitely no hesitation in recommending this hotel as a great base to explore Hanoi.

My partner and I had an wonderful experience at May De Ville Lakeside hotel. Its service was exceptional, particularly by Hannah. The rooms are spacious, the bed was so comfortable, and the room service menu was tasty and priced reasonably. The hotel's location is also convenient, central to all the attractions around the Old Quarter and close walk to the Ho Hoan Kiem lake as well as steps away to the weekend market. We throughly enjoyed our stay at May De Ville Hotel in Hanoi and we highly recommend!
