A good hotel in a great location

Friendly welcome, nice rooms great location

Have stayed here a couple of times due to how convenient the hotel is. However will not be back after yesterday’s visit, first impressions are everything and Matilda should not be on the front desk. She was so rude and unhelpful, I couldn’t actually believe how rude she was. Luckily when I went back to get the room keys she had gone. The room we stayed in was so noisy too, didn’t get to sleep until 5am due to the room overlooking the street and nightclubs opposite. Was going to bring this up at checkout but there was a massive queue and just wanted to leave. Do not recommend… rude staff & noisy hotel.

We stayed two nights, comfortable, quiet and an all round nice hotel. Close walking distance to everything perfect location for us.

Wonderful little hotel in a very convenient location. Initially the room we checked into was not ideal, the staff were all kind and helpful and able to move us to something more suitable for the second and third night of our stay. The room was clean and bed comfortable. The staff at Front Desk & in the restaurant were wonderful, as was the cleaning staff who left me extra milk for my coffee when I met them in the hall. Would definitely stay again!

Great hotel

We had the 2 Course evening meal which was very tasty, The breakfast was also of a high standard The bed was very comfortable, will be looking at availability at Lenardo next time we come down to Cardiff

Very nice, upgraded my room for me which was lovely. Right in Cardiff town centre so I was able to have a walk at night and decide from the massive options were to eat.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this lovely, stately old hotel. Staff were lovely. We didn’t have a view but it was quiet, which was of the most importance to us. The hotel is generous with such things as coffee and tea in the rooms. Everything in the room worked well and was clean and well thought out. Location is super central. We didn’t experience the view rooms to know if they are sound proofed from the lively street outside. We would recommend this hotel!

Fantastic hotel. Staff really friendly and the room was clean tidy and was above what i was expecting to be honest. Brilliant value for money and if am in Cardiff again i will be staying here!

Great stay but could have done with more staff on reception and the bar/restaurant

Room was lovely with a large, clean bathroom. Air con wasn't working too well but didn't complain. Service at check in and at the bar was extremely efficient and friendly.

Lovely hotel with really helpful staff. We had a nice twin room and it was generally very comfortable with a decent breakfast. The only downside was a prom taking place in the hotel the same night which meant it was very noisy up to about midnight and being in the city centre meant we heard the post Saturday night clean up of the nearby nightspots. Neither of these scenarios was a particular issue for us though and we’d certainly go back.
