This hotel should not be a part of Hyatt! As soon as we walked in, the front desks were ridiculous, no manner at all. They were all sitting down on chair relaxing, doesn't stand up to welcome guest. We had to ask fridge for the room because we couldn't find any in our room. The room doesn't have: cups, glasses, spoons, forks, knives. We asked for cup, they told us to pick it up ourself downstair at the Cafe. Very annoying when you wake up and find no cup, and need to walk downstair to get it. This is very stupid. They asked me to pay USD 4 per bag, to leave the bags for 3 hours after check out! What Hyatt do that? I think Hyatt should reconsider this place to use their name. Do not stay here! You're paying, but you're going to be treated like some kind of criminals by those people at the hotel. Even the bell boys were very rude and money oriented! Once again. Do not stay here.

At the time of our booking (around September 2022), the rate was very good for holiday season if not, the best we could find in any hotel in Midtown Manhattan. The location is very strategic, adjacent to historical Grand Central Station as well as access to Metro. Just 5 minutes walk to famous observation deck Summit One @ Vanderbilt. 10-15 minutes walk to Bryant Park, Time Square, Rockefeller, etc. There are many food and grocery options nearby. The hotel itself is kind of old but reasonably maintained. The check in was super fast and you will have $ 15 credit to spent at ground floor F&B. We booked deluxe room, the space is roomy enough for 2 adults and 1 child. Our room is on 15th floor, its quiet floor, bed is comfy enough but there was bit problem in the shower as the water spray is quite low/weak. The room doesn't have water kettle but they do provide coffee maker and nice Starbucks Cafe Verona packs upon request. The hotel doesn't seem to offer breakfast when we booked it but there was a restaurant on mezzanine floor but we didn't try.

Staff when I checked was not welcome yet rude for me. She was not friendly at all from the gesture and the expression seems to underestimate us, which I don't know why. She also didn't explain much during check in, just took our credit card and charge then that 's all. The hotel was not provided with complete amenties such toothbrush, laundry bag, dll maybe you can request? Never gonna come back.

The location is very strategic in downtown New York, close to the center of the crowds such as Time Square, Fith Avenue Street, the Grand Central Station and many restaurants and all within walking distance.

When I booked the hotel, I had my concern reading some of negative reviews. But it turned out my own experience was awesome. The communication was clear by the time I entered the hotel, receptionist was friendly and I got my room though I checked-in before lunch time. The room was big for NY standard. Definitely I will come back to this hotel.

I got the view out facing the back wall of the building next door. The last day a coffee drink will be charged on your bill even though the guest still had drinking facilities. Bill boy not friendly. Be careful the price on travel apps does not include tax. Positive thing the location is very strategic.

I have a good time in Grand Hyatt New York. It's very close with Grand Terminal so it's convenient to go to everywhere in New York. Even if you don't stay here included with Breakfast but they will offer you food still with you can give everything in 15 USD everyday at thier convenience store. Stay here and Enjoy!

First, there is additional usd 40 per night charged as destination fee that was not indicated in the booking price! And the price itself is already ridiculously high. It is a rip off! Second, the hotel staffs are not friendly. Third, the bathroom is so small you don't know where to put your clothes. This hotel taints the big name of grand hyatt.

There is an additional destination name fee of $ 40, / day so that the hotel fee adds 25% of the cost of rooms purchased through online which is not previously informed. Room service is also a bit slow like request for a water heater boiler, spp

Room is pretty bad for Grand Hyatt although location wise is super fantastic and convenient! Customer service wise is pretty bad too, I’m talking about you don’t get a smile from the very first second you put your feet into the property, even the luggage handler is pretty bad! You need to pay for your luggage storage on the day you’re leaving! I don’t think I’ll come back but the housekeepers staff is the only thing that makes us feel great at least there’s one!

There was no desk chair in our room. Had been asking for several times and even came down to the lobby, but the response always be the same. I will send it right now to your room. Rooms were quite old. Lobby was awesome. The only advantage of living in this hotel is the location just next to grand central terminal.
