The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The room was comfortable. The parking was easily accessible, albeit expensive. The only negative I had was that the WiFi was awful and never once worked.

This is the second Marriott I have stayed at in the last several months where the Elevator was "Temp Out of Service" for the several day and my entire stay. The people at the front desk didn't seem to care my family was inconvenienced and that in the morning and evenings folks had to wait around for one elevator (the second was for employees/cleaning and the third was out of order) Makes me question if Marriot is looking to cut maint. exp to generate cash flow.

Water leak from above in room, moved to new room and . . . Water leak above and had to move again. As the was only a three night stay, this was unconscionable. Plus, parking door lock not in working condition and two of three elevators out of service for 2 of 3 days.

Continent for our purposes. Can not compliment the staff enough. Bernadette for checking in and out and Domingo for Breakfast service. ( did not get the name of his helper but do not want to leave her out either). Our room was straighten each day I appreciated that service as well though never got the team members’s name. The room smelled fresh and clean which is tough in a DC summer. We are repeat customers and have recommended to others who do not need to be downtown. We will be back. Thank you

upon arrival, after a trans Atlantic flight, the hotel only had boiling hot water (august 11th) - i.e., no shower unless I would like to get 3rd degree burns. The gentleman in the reception assured that the engineers had fixed this known issue, and that the water should be "showerable" the next morning - so not the case. When addressing this, and asking for a solution, the gentleman in the reception said that his hands were tied, and that id had to wait for the manager ... who showed up midday, when I was in a training class, i.e., no chance to talk to the manager. The hotel did not offer any type of alternative to the shower situation, and did also not offer any type of compensation. None. Not even a bottle of water. Utterly disappointed that such a renown hotel as the Courtyard completely missed the part of happy customers.

The only thing I didn't like was the lack of clarity about the parking and the bed my husband and I slept in was harsh to our backs. Otherwise, a fine hotel!
