Ocean view, Eave restaurant were great. Property was under renovation and that was not disclosed when the hotel was booked. Rooms are pretty shabby, but clean. More than one coffee pod per person would have been nice.

There was an older man at reception who seemed to have zero interest in customer service, reminded me a little of Basil Fawlty. Key cards easily demagnetize.

Was a nice stay at this property, a bit pricey for not having an operating hot tub which we were looking for. As well as the property is going through construction and at very early in morning it sounded like a drill was going to come through the wall or ceiling. Ah well, was the 1st time in the region and thats what we focused on.

Very nice hotel with a very nice room overlooking the harbour. Convenient to lots of restaurants although we have breakfast included which has been good.

Holiday Inn Sydney should think of renovating their property specifically their room amenities, toilets inside the rooms as they were too old or may be from 70’s. No complimentary water bottle was provided or a jar or glass was kept and no cream or milk was available for morning tea or coffee.

Outdated. Stained dirty carpets. Locks that hardly works properly. You will spend time trying to get in your room. Noisy air conditioner/ heating system. Bathroom tub is stained with dark marks on the floor surface. Flush sometimes don’t seal so it just keeps flowing. Too expensive for the quality of the place.

Had a wonderful harbour view, staff was friendly and walking from the hotel to local restaurants and tourist attractions was ideal. Would definitely come back!

Overall we were very happy with our stay. Staff were super friendly and very helpful. I understand renovations are underway so expect it too only improve. Really need some better wall outlets as plugging in device chargers was a bit of a challenge. Parking lot retaining wall and steps are in need of repair. All things considered though we would stay there again.

We enjoyed being on the waterfront and walking every morning. Dog Charlie was treated like a king.

This hotel is an excellent location right beside the waterfront / boardwalk. The hotel is showing its age, carpet and hallways had a musty smell. Beds are the old spring mattress and not very comfortable.

Harbour location

Mold in bathtub. One of the most treacherous bathtubs I have ever experienced. The tub floor was actually concave and slippery. Why would anyone build a bathtub like a boat bottom? Breakfast was good—only redeeming feature of the stay.

Staff is nice, complementary breakfast, kids had fun water slide at the pool only down side hot tub wasnt working bu all in all excellent

The hotel is showing its age but was being upgraded. The location was great. Easily walkable to the harbour front and restaurants in the area. Our room overlooked the harbour - beautiful! Upon arrival there were 2 people at the check in desk - one was on the phone and the other was talking to a colleague about work. Once the colleague left, the check in clerk continued with work and we were left waiting without any acknowledgement. He seemed preoccupied. The lounge staff were welcoming and friendly. Beds were comfy. Hotel was quiet. Overall our staff was nice.

Great food. Nice indoor pool and water slide. (Hot tub out of order). Friendly staff. Picturesque location on the waterfront boardwalk.

Very nice hotel, clean and quiet.

One suggestion would be to leave more coffee pods in the room. One each is not enough. Also no creamers in the amenity package. Other than that the hotel was great.

I was very disappointed very sparce in lobby the room smelt of stale smoke no complementary water facilities would just about make 3 star

Good: Spacious rooms with comfortable beds and pillows. Nice view. Food in restaurant was excellent. We would definitely go back Not perfect; Check in was very slow. Guest in front of me was waiting 10 minutes while the desk clerk was doing something on the computer. Then he helped the guest. By that time there was a line up behind me

There aren't many hotel options in Sydney. This is a dated property that is undergoing some upgrades. Our kids enjoyed the pool and we had access to laundry machines which was convenient. We had a view of the harbour which was nice. There is no A/C and we were quite hot at night. We had issues with our toilet and needed to have looked at twice which was a bit frustrating. There is no breakfast included with your stay. We found the price was expensive for what you get but like I say choices are limited in the area.
