No elevator

I liked that there is a shuttle to and from the airport. It looks like the common areas have been recently refurbished, and the bathroom as well. I don’t like that the rooms were not completely refurbished.

Love the location, staff is always nice and Pipers is always great.

Minutes from airport and no noise. Also Lake Hood for float planes right across street. They put a $100 hold on your credit card for amenities. This is a large old sprawling property but seemingly well cared for. Signage directing one to his or her room is very poor. The desk person handed me a key and said your room is through there not mentioning whether right or left. The room was large but lacked a desk and chair or luggage rack. The beds were amazing however and the bathroom comforyable. There is an attached restaurant which has an outdoor patio overlooking Lake Hood. We had breakfast there and would return in future. I'd also stay at the hotel again if passing through for just one night.

Nothing special, old and worn out

Room needed updating. Stains on the carpet. The restaurant was good. Very overpriced. The pictures on hotel.com give a different view of the hotel. Location to airport very good.

The property is a bit tired but it is reasonably clean. The fitted sheet on the bed had a hole in it and the shower had a lot of buildup on the grout. Despite being near the airport, it was pretty quiet. The restaurant on site was convenient.

Very easy to catch the shuttle to the hotel, which was very close to the airport.

The area is a little run down as is the property. Big minus, though, is no elevator. We are old enough to need one. Porter was friendly and competent. But we have limited time.

Convenient to get to, staff was amazing and suite was nice after a long flight.

I enjoyed this hotel despite the bad reviews from others. The staff were very friendly and the location is excellent for the airport plus the restaurant was superb. I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Nice, a little outdated

Very rundown room with a bathroom fan that was overly loud. Also walls and ceiling are paper thin so I could hear people moving around and talking all night. For the exorbitant cost it is not worth it. Bed was okay. Carpet was dirty and furniture shoukd have been replaced a long time ago. The only redeeming factor was the shuttle to the airport was prompt and the driver was super helpful and nice.

Convenient to the airport. Room smelled of cigarette smoke

Really smelly room, hallways. A non-smoking room smells all smoke. Staff at front desk was all confused about what was happening and how to assign rooms.

Our stay here was convenient, friendly and overall great!
