Great experience

I liked this place when I stayed a few times around 20 years ago, and it’s gotten even better. Every single person that works there and in their restaurant is a class act - very friendly, cheerful, (no hint on insincerity), helpful, etc. All details are covered including local bakery cookies on the desk in the evenings, abundant high quality umbrellas available, everything is spotless from the lobby areas to your room. Place just feels good, with tasteful feng shui, including the large front terrace, the hotel’s namesake, (perfect for relaxing, especially before or after dinner). Great, relaxing Comfy bed and pillows. Classic older building with a good views in all directions, especially the adjacent beautiful Mirror Lake, and the very nice and convenient downtown on the opposite adjacent side. Deserving its own highly rated review is the on-site Terrace Grille, a destination, special occasion, and foodie level restaurant. Excellent for breakfast, lunch, or especially dinner. If you’re visiting Lakeland, this is where you want to stay for sure, especially since the pricing is not that different from most good quality typical motels where you then have to drive to go anywhere.

Great place to stay

The hotel and guest services were amazing. Excellent location and walkable to so many great restaurants as well as one downstairs. I had breakfast there. Great service. Gorgeous hotel. Only problem is the extremely LOUD AC unit.

Near place to my work

Nice clean very good location! Only complaint is the mattress was too soft, gave us sore back from day one.

Staff was very friendly. Restaurant has a to go type service but I miss the old fashioned room service. Hotel looks great after their renovations

The people who work at this property from The valets to the front desk are the friendliest I've ever encountered. The location by the lake is awesome and there are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance.

Very nice. Right in the middle of everything. Restaurants, park, lake, gardens. Hotel was clean and well appointed. Staff delivered world class customer service.
