You can't beat Olympic for the location, nor for the price. The bed was comfy, the breakfast was fine. Olympic has a pleasant terrace on the top floor, where you can sit and read and watch the planes take off from the nearby HER airport. My only complaint was that the smallness of the bathroom meant no towel racks, only a couple of hooks behind the door.

Our go to hotel for over 12 years

Really nice hotel, we only stayed one night but had wished we stayed longer. We booked day of and check in was very fast and efficient. Rooms were clean and bathrooms were nice. Elevator to carry luggage up and down. Breakfast was also very good with lots of options and fresh food.

Nice hotel, clean and a good breakfast. Website is not up to date, the balcony I was shown held a plastic and no room for much else. Also there is no rooftop patio which is noted on the site

The nice lobby is deceiving. The rooms are very old and mine was very dark (the only windows faced a skylight well). Decently clean but I found a hair in the jam at breakfast (I guess that it can happen but it is the first time that it happens to me, in the more than 30 years in which I have been travelling). It will not be my choice at my next visit at Crete University.

Great location and the staff was helpful with everything

We stayed only for 6 hours, we got in late and needed a place close to the airport. We knew parking was extra but it said some was available. We messaged to secure it and got no response. On arrival there is no where to stop in a car we got honked at just no where to pull over. The parking was close but took driving some tight alleys to find and then you have to hand over your keys and the car for valet style. They were good but it’s a rental I wasn’t told that. The room smelled like smoke. It was clean but not impressive in any way. We had a room booked for 3 twin beds or one queen and one twin. We requested 3 twins. We got two twins pushed together like a queen and a cot.

Great location, walkable to markets and restaurants and fortress. Great service. Room needs updating but clean.

Lovely helpful staff

Convenient, friendly & inexpensive!

All I needed for a one night stay in Heraklion to be close to the Archeological Museum and then travel to Knosso Palace. I didn’t hear any noise at night , the room was clean and breakfast was good. Staff was also efficient and friendly.

Ideal city centre hotel, next to the market, and with taxi rank outside, and bus route to the airport. Traffic is a bit noisy at night.

The Hote Olympic is in a good location in the center of Heraklion but not too noisy. The room was very clean, and the choice from the buffet breakfast was good.

Great location, parking garage (8 euro per day), and breakfast! We originally had a very Smokey room but were able to switch it.

Great hotel. Modern. Walkable to everything. Good breakfast buffet. Also, for the 2021 crowd, there is a PCR testing place right around corner, like 1 minute walk. So convenient for on your way out. Would definitely stay here again.

The personnel were very accomodating. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Hotel is in a perfect location.
