The staff was friendly but only after you approached them. The property was convenient to the expressway. But not a very good neighborhood.

There were vagrants hanging out in front of the hotel Plus since I had a room closed for the lobby workers staying in the motel, began filling ice chest making a lot of racket beginning about four in the morning.

The property provided no ability to see/watch our car. The entry doors were on the interior which spooked our dog. The clerk was very rude and un helpful. We left and booked at another place down the road.

Staff was knowledgeable and friendly, property felt safe and looked ok. The rooms and even sheets were dirty, although the bathrooms seemed clean.

Pet friendly and convenient for dining and exploring Arcata, and bed was very comfortable. Large area adjacent to the parking for turning around an RV, or if you're towing a trailer. We would stay there again.

We stayed for 2 nights and we were able to select which floor. We selected the 1st floor which was a mistake. The walls are very thin, you can hear people walking from the second floor, you hear people walking from the 1st floor hallway, opening and closing their room. The room was clean but on the 2nd day, they did not make the bed but they did provide us fresh towel and remove the trash

Friendly helpful service. Comfortable bed. Dirty floors. My kid spilled water and when he cleaned it up the towel looked like someone wiped down a fire pit.

The beds were comfortable, the giant photo art of the redwoods on the wall was amazing, and it was quiet. There's a small fridge and microwave in the rooms, plus a small breakfast room. Nothing is exciting about the area, no view, no pool. It was inexpensive and served its purpose. The cool and heat fan worked well.

Im sorry. I hate to leave a bad review. But…. For this hotel to have a 7 out of 10 is mind blowing. The room was nothing like the picture portrayed online. I was very disappointed. There was roaches in microwave. It needs to be upgraded and remodeled.

This hotel was clean and comfortable for our one night stay. There’s no elevator so be prepared to have to drag your suitcase up stairs. Breakfast was simple. It seems like there’s been budget cuts when it comes to breakfast but everything was good.

Coffee in the breakfast area was not very good.

There was constant noise all night. The bed is as hard as a rock. I almost ended up sleeping in my car.

It was clean and quaint! The staff was great! And they are pet friendly!!!

This is fine for a bed for the night while passing through. We stayed 2 nights and it was a mistake staying here so long. Everything is run down and the area doesn’t offer much in the immediate vicinity. We were visiting the redwoods about an hour drive north, but the evenings at the hotel were pretty dismal.
