No room service on a Sunday was a bummer specially as the weather was really bad and no room service was really inconvenient

I had an amazing solo getaway. The staff were lovely and really helpful. They let me check in early which was a nice surprise. I particularly enjoyed the heated pool and spa and the close proximity to the beach and pauanui hike. The staff also showed genuine care and told me to be careful on my way down from the hike as it can be slippery when wet. I would definitely come again

Jungle like walkways to rooms, lots of privacy. Heated tile floors, hot tub and pool area. Had dinner and breakfast buffet. So lovely, sad to leave

Great stay in a stunning location. Loved waking up amongst the trees, so peaceful and quiet. Would highly recommend the location

Beautiful resort set high in the treetops overlooking the mountains and river. Grrat location to enjoy sunset cocktails on the deck of the restaurant.

Beautiful bungalo in the trees. Our heated floor in the bathroom didnt work but otherwise beautiful.

Very good hotel with nice view and good restarant. One exception. Do not expect pricacy, when you are on the toilet. There is np decent doors between the bathroom and the sleeping room.

This resort is very unique…it’s like staying in a treehouse! Very comfortable and quiet. Pool is great! They even have free laundry, which was most appreciated. Make sure that you can walk stairs and hills if you want to stay here. We would come back in a heartbeat!

A room the trees was a new experience for us. It was quiet and quaint. We highly recommend this resort.

Very hilly, parking is a bit of a hike from your room. Gorgeous property, feels like you’re in a rainforest. Excellent buffet breakfast (although essentially identical both days). Free loan of shovels for hot water beach.

The visit was a real mixed bag. Good - Room comfort overall is good. Most of the staff are friendly/trying their best. The location in the forest is great, nice to have a gym and pool etc. It could be romantic, but is a little bit of a walk to the beach/up a steep hill. Bad - The property and grounds need a lot of maintenance. Some of the access is very steep. Dinner was ok, breakfast is poor/disorganised. Overall it doesn't feel very 4* service. The staff do try, but either the place is under funded or not well managed.
