Old hotel, noisy and poor breakfast

The beds are not very comfortable the rooms are small and the neighborhood is absolutely terrible. Might not be bad as a discount hotel but 80 to 100 euros a night it is not.

Every year that we are in Thessaloniki, we stay at the Vergina. The property is clean, the staff is very nice and there are never any bad surprises.

A great breakfast. There were tour groups every day but the staff did a great job of keeping up. The location was really convenient for the train station. We were on the eighth floor so it was quiet. We walked to all of the sites we wanted to see, but some are a long jaunt; it's a big city. Seems like a good value.

No ventilation at bathroom, naturally too many mosquitoes got in the room.

The room was ok, air conditioning rather outdated. Hotel's parking is very small and cramted and it costs 10 euros per day.

OK hotel, decent staff particularly in dining area/bar - overall, a bit past it's best - awful lifts.

We were for 1 night only and this was our luck. The breakfast is very nice and this is the only good thing of this hotel. We travel a lot all over the Europe, we sleep in B&Bs and hostels also, so there are not so many things that can bother us, but this hotel is absolutely overestimated, about the price and everything. Just the breakfast is good. This is my first time ever, ever, ever I see a cockroach in a place that I sleep, this was in the sink in the bath!!! The area is absolutely bad, like a China town, dirty, scary... I don't recommend the hotel at all, maybe if it is on a lower price some things wouldn't bother but better to be without breakfast for a lower price than just paying for breakfast because I can't see for what else is this price? The rooms are small and are not as are in the photos, because there they seem large... I am absolutely unsatisfied about the combination price-quality.

Hotel in need of much TLC - dowdy and fairly run-down - a shame as great location close to railway station. Breakfast a basic continental offering, again should be better.

Outdated hotel
