The motel is being renovated throughout. Our section was fresh and clean. The air conditioner needed to be replaced and that would make it as good as any. One of the main drags was right behind us with plenty of shopping and night life. Only draw back was as in most cities now you feel a bit uneasy with the panhandlers.

This is a basic little place in a perfect location. It is not the Ritz Carleton but it worked for us just fine on our road trip from Portland to San Francisco.

If you’re not picky and need a place to land for the night, this is similar to a motel 6. Probably wouldn’t stay there again, but they are getting remodeled and the staff are very nice. I think it was clean enough, just old and worn. It’s been there since the 50’s so it has some nostalgia vibes happening.

The staff was very friendly & the room was nice. The water pressure in the shower was extremely low and the bathroom sink did not drain well.,

No A/C in 100 degree weather. Everything was old and dingy. The bathroom was disgusting. Pool under construction and closed for the whole summer. Photos very misleading. We got a refund and left. Don't go here!

I booked this hotel because of the pool and because I needed a quiet place for my conference call in the morning at 8: 30. I was woken up at 7:00 with someone running a gasoline-powered leaf blower on the sidewalk in front of my door. At 8:30 my entire room was shaking because of the jackhammering removing the sidewalk around the pool area. Needless to say the pool was not operational and nobody told me. I complained to management and was told nobody could do anything to help me.

All things considered such as cost and location this meet or exceeded expectations.

Room was a clean. Centrally located with good food and coffee within walking distance. Check in was fast. Only complaint - bed was uncomfortable and we didnt sleep well. This is a retro motel, so review is subjective. For price etc, a good deal. Would stay again.
