On the whole good. A bit tired in places which you expect in Italian hotels. Breakfast was not the greatest! Convenient location provides a good workout up and down the hill to the beach.

Hotel Posa Posa offers a wonderful stay with excellent staff who go above and beyond to provide warm, attentive service that makes guests feel right at home. The views from the property are absolutely stunning, with panoramic vistas of the coastline that are hard to beat. While the hotel is very clean and well-maintained, some guests might find the décor and facilities a bit outdated. That said, its location is convenient, with many great restaurants nearby, and the on-site Mirage Restaurant stands out for its delicious food and elegant atmosphere. Keep in mind that it’s quite a long walk to the main beach, but a local bus makes the trip much easier.

I loved the hotel rooms , they were spacious and clean with great views from the balcony . All the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was also an easy 10 minute stroll into the centre of Positano or the bus from the centre stopped right outside the hotel. On the way down the hill there were many good restaurants and shops.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Hotel Posa Posa. From the warm and friendly team who treated us like family members throughout our stay, to the luxurious and stunning brand new apartment we were fortunate enough to stay in, we can’t speak highly enough about this property. Well located within walking distance of the main village, with fabulous restaurants and trattorias located nearby, amazing shopping, and hotel facilities, you’ll love your time at hotel Posa Posa. The Mirage restaurant onsite also offers a delicious breakfast and was Michelin stared in 2018. It’s actually number 11 of 95 restaurants in Positano. The kind and generous team are what really make your stay so memorable. We can’t thank them enough for helping us create magical memories for our children to last a lifetime.

The staff at Hotel Posa Posa was extremely friendly and fun, engaging with our teenage children, as well. They helped us with everything such as directions, bus information, and restaurant recommendations and reservations. Our room was very large and clean with an amazing view overlooking the town and water. The hotel was in a perfect area to walk to town, but also right next to a bus stop, and near a lot of excellent restaurants and shops. The breakfast was excellent, as well. For the price, you can’t beat it!

This was our first trip to Positano. The hotel, the staff and our room was beyond expectations. There are no words to describe the view from our private balcony. I highly recommend this hotel, absolutely AMAZING!

Great staff and views of city

Staff was GREAT…helped make any reservations for excursions we wanted to do…hotel very clean…breakfast buffet awesome…NO STEPS…and central local bus stop by entrance to hotel…we could leisurely walk downhill to the beach and catch the bus back to our hotel…I have stayed there three times now…just got back from a great trip staying there 8 nights…took my granddaughter (18)…I am 74 and we enjoyed everyday…memories made!!!

We had a lovely stay in Hotel Posa Posa. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was great and our family room was nice and big. The view from our bedroom was outstanding- over looking the bay but this is because the hotel is very high up. If you have any mobility issues I would say this might not be the hotel for you as it’s a good 15 minute walk down to the town and a hike back up. The quickest way back up is via the stairs (all 450 of them). It’s a thigh burner! Or else you can walk up the windy road which is full of character and lovely scenery but doesn’t have pavements so you will be dodging the cars. Either way you will be working off the pasta! The pool is much smaller than the picture leads you to believe but it was perfectly good for our short break. I am glad we chose this hotel and I would definitely recommend it.

Lovely staff and location for seeing all Positano has to offer.

To lead with the positives - Maria and Giulio are some of the finest hotel employees we’ve had the pleasure of working with. The location, as well, is postcard perfect, with just enough access to, and quiet from, the maelstrom of Positano crowds. Now: the negatives. Stinky. Truly stinky. The hotel is decidedly out of date by thirty years, and smells like that was the last time it has been cleaned. Our room had scuffs, bangs, and scrapes on the walls, a bathroom held together by caulk and a dream, and a TV with big aspirations of being in a junkyard. On our first night, everything was a-ok, if fairly humble, but still passable. Upon letting housekeeping in the following day, they left the window open to air out the cleaner smell… which let in the sea air. The resulting miasma was a horrible stench of mildew and rot, with damp sheets on top of that, that we were totally unable to resolve with AC, airing stuff out, the works. We request a room change, or help cleaning, and a set-upon employee came in, said nothing can be done, as the hotel was full, and then sprayed 3 spritz of air freshener and left it at that. For what you’re paying, you deserve more than damp, smelly rooms, and a glorified cold plunge (forgot to say, they totally misrepresent the size of the pool). The primary staff’s professionalism and candor can’t make up for the other mounting disappointments.

Sweet hotel. Perfect location. Lovely restaurant. Rooftop pool with fantastic views. We will be back.
