Hotel advertises they have a pool. They do not have a pool... they have access to a pool at a different hotel that is a 5 minute walk away. Not ideal for small children and a disappointment. Parking is very limited and we had to park at another hotels parking garage a few km away. Hotel is close to the waterfront and an easy walk.

The hotel was clean, great breakfast. Night time the noise from the local bars were very loud and made bed time with kids very very challenging. Based on this I would not stay here again unless I had a room not facing the bars

Hotel is in a good location but needs a renovation. The rooms are dated. Door latch kept sticking and would take multiple attempts to open. Roof top patio is covered in bird poop. A fire alarm went off one night and the night staff was not helpful. He didn’t keep his composure or communicate with guests.

It was nice and roomy, the location was great, walking distance from a lot of things. Parking was a bit of a struggle as there is a 6ft height restriction (we had a cargo top on our van), the alternate parking is a bit of a walk. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. Great hotel.

On site parking was full, had to use another nearby parkade.

The property is good. Hallways smelled a bit musty but it’s fine. Staff was courteous and helpful. Area is safe. Lots of dining and entertainment options nearby. Breakfast was decent. Close to the boardwalk. A few issues 1. If your room is on the east side of the building, prepare for lots of noise until 2 AM, since it faces a strip of bars. 2. Has a room AC that is noisy. The plus side is it drowns out outside noise. :p 3. Property has limited parking, but there is additional paid parking available nearby. If you need parking in the building, book in advance.

Great location. Parking tough but otherwise all good. Breakfast excellent.

In the booking it said it had a pool but that was false the pool access is in the sister facility 2 blocks away downhill so if you wanted to go and relax than you had to walk back uphill to this hotel.

Very expensive parking underground which wasnt available the first day we arrived. A reservation is needed for parking. Also first night we had to park 4 blocks away in the Metro Park which cost us $23. The next night in the reserved underground lot cost $25 +tax. We stayed on 2nd floor. We loved our stay at the Residence Inn Halifax Downtown. The room was fantastic, really comfy with almost every amenity possible, including a dishwasher. The location was even better, right in the heart of Halifax with plenty of restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity and lots of shops, too. All the staff were polite and very nice
