The hotel was so dirty, the rugs were awful full of stains, the mattresses were terrible, they need to be changed, the caulking around the tub and sink was painted over by a kid. The toilet is so low, only kids would be comfortable. The condition of the room was deplorable, they need to spend some money on maintenance. The customer service was hard to find, the staff were in a back room somewhere when we checked in and out and we had to wait, there was no ringer for letting them know we were there. I will not stay there again.

I would not stay at this hotel again. Hot tub was not hot and staff said there wasnt anything they could do about it. The bed was not comfortable. Breakfast was ok. I did like the layout of room but seemed a bit worn.

Friendly, welcoming staff, shopping & dining nearby, felt safe and quiet if you want to get away from busy downtown.

Water slide wasn't working and my child got a rash from the pool water. I don't know if it was too much chlorine or what?

Clean and the staff provided a great breakfast.

We chose this for its water slide, which was down for maintenance, so that was not cool. No complaints otherwise, just having the slide not work was sad.

The room my husband and I stayed in was spacious. Liked having a night-lite in the bathroom. The things that I did not like were: the vent in the bathroom was not working, carpets were filthy, stains on the linens. Any hospitality business should own a carpet-cleaning/shampooing machine to clean each room at least once a week, especially one that accepts pets. The carpets were despicable. Not very welcoming.

Great breakfast, pool was good. A little ways up the hill away from Duluth but a nice place.

The staff wasn't over attentive (lack of clean/dry towels in the pool area.) When towels were requested, it took several attempts requesting them before any were provided. When towels were brought in, they brought in about 8 towels, which were gone within minutes. For breakfast, the hot food for breakfast was replenished but the other self serve items were not (single serve type foods, cereals, hot cocoa packets, etc.) as well as the water and food in the lobby that is offered 24/7 was never refilled during our stay.

I liked real plates and silverware. I liked the fire pit at the entrance.

Will visit again

We loved everything about the place other than the water slide was out of service. That is the main reason we came here. Our 3 small grandchildren wanted to stay somewhere that had a slide. They were more disappointed than I was. I wish someone would have told us ahead of time. They said they called and left a message, but I only could understand the first couple of words of the message and didn’t hear anything about a broken water slide. They Had my E-mail could have contacted me that way. Very disappointed.

The property was getting a new roof so air compressors were running and debris were all over. The halls had not seen a vacuum in some time. The pool was closed in addition.

Room is dirty. Stains on the walls the floors....everywhere. The pool is so heavily chlorinated that your eyes burn upon walking into the pool area. Water slide was broke with no fix eta. We were never notified and they refused a refund or discount. If you have the choice of this place or one down the street...choose the one down the street. STAY AWAY!!!

Room was nice but we had many electric outlets non-functioning and the vent in the bathroom was spitting out black dust bunnies, seriously bad! 2 youngsters working the front desk ignored us to have it cleaned after I reported it. The 3rd employee felt bad and she reported the bad employees.. Housekeeping is only every 3 days and for 200 a night I don’t think that’s acceptable.. look for the best rate you can find! Even though we had some problems it’s a nice place But the price is way too high!!

Water slide was out of commission. Breakfast was good. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Love the bonfire outside.

The hotel was nice, but we definitely would not have spent the high amount we spent had we known the nice water slide was not operating. The hotel offered a 15% refund for this, but the main reason we chose this hotel over others was the huge and impressive water slide they had marketed. The other issue we ran into the loud and rattling AC unit in our first room. It was hard to sleep because of it so I recorded it, showed it to the worker at the front desk, and she was nice enough to another room. The non-working slide was a huge disappointment, but the staff was nice and the second room was good so I believe three stars seems fair.
