Wasn’t much to do in the hotel

Two of our three nights here were at the weekend. We should have anticipated this and maybe stayed elsewhere, but on Saturday and Sunday, well into the evenings, the Woollen Mill Shopping Complex (as opposed to the hotel) was very busy and noisy, with parking needing a hunt until a space was found, often a fair way from the hotel's entrance. However, otherwise the location and suroundings are idyllic. Monday, all day, was quiet and bliss, which made a huge difference to te ambience. Our room was spacious enough, adequately equipped and comfortable. Though with no air-con and only a small window that opened, in merely warm weather it became rather stuffy. A supplied desk fan mitigated this to some extent. The inclusive breakfast, whilst not as comprehensive as other hotels on our tour, was adequate and tasty, but the service was slow. We think this is not the fault of the staff, who couldn't be more helpful, but just not enough staff.

This was a wonderful hotel, quiet in the evening busy in the daytime with the shopping centers and the Barney Castle just loved it

Love the location next to Blarney Castle and Gardens. Convenient shopping at Woolen Mills next door. Clean hotel, helpful staff.

Great place

The property was in a great location to the Blarney castle and a great place to stay.

The room was clean and comfortable! But the surrounding village, shops and restaurants is what makes this place special!! The breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious!

It is located in a great area, directly across from the Blarney castle grounds. Beautiful lobby and close to shops and restaurants. We were hoping for an early check in but are room wasn’t avalible yet. The room was nice and beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast.

Hotel is beautiful, room was fantastic, big, soft bed. Staff was extremely nice and helpful

Front desk was too busy to acknowledge guests. Bad customer service…not friendly. Room was burning hot. A small fan rattled al night. The bathroom was sweating with heat. No washcloths. One positive was the lady working at breakfast. She was kind and breakfast was ok. Not recommended.

Staff was friendly and rooms were great size.

Not the hotel’s fault but kids across the hall in room 113 kept slamming the door like 40 times in 15 minutes at 10:00pm until I went out and told them to stop.

Very beautiful hotel within walking distance to Blarney Castle. Nice breakfast was included.

Aside from visiting during a heatwave, and no air conditioning, the property was lovely.

We stayed at the property during the recent very hot weather in Ireland, but unfortunately the rooms didn’t have aircon so we were very hot at night. The hotel supplied portable fans but they didn’t really help. Also, we paid for a triple room which was essentially 2 double beds, but were charged more than other members of the family who had a bigger room with the same number of beds, but had 2 people staying in the room rather than 3.

A couple of things that made the stay good and bad. Love the location. Rooms were very large. No air conditioning and it really needed it. Fans they provided only helped a little. Of the two rooms one was very warm. No wash cloths. Keys kept getting degaussed so new ones were needed. Don’t put them near car keys.
