The negative feedback is not as much for the hotel itself but the unbearable noise around the property. Internal noise in the room from machine next door and luckily the staff was kind and changed my room for an acceptable one. But the external noise from the rooftop bar of this hotel and the Nobu hotel across the road was deafening!!!! Impossible to sleep until well past midnight. Families with kids should stay well away. Hivernage is a terrible area of Marrakesh, noisy party at every corner. It was a mistake not to stay at a riad inside the Medina.

My recent stay at Hivernage Hotel and Spa was overall pleasant, thanks to the incredible staff and their dedication to guest satisfaction. The hotel staff went above and beyond, and the service in the restaurant was particularly exemplary. Imad, one of the servers, handled a minor issue with professionalism and kindness when I found a hair in my food. While this was disappointing, he made every effort to make up for it, which I truly appreciated. Karima at the front desk was outstanding—she went above and beyond to accommodate my requests, making my stay much more enjoyable. Fadua (from client relations, I believe—apologies if the spelling is incorrect) was also incredibly kind and attentive. While the staff was exceptional, there are a few areas for improvement. The beds and pillows are much too hard, which affected my sleep quality. Additionally, the windows on the Nobu side of the hotel need better soundproofing, as outside noise was quite disruptive at times. If you’re planning a stay, I’d recommend requesting a room on the Sofitel side for a quieter experience. Thank you again to the wonderful staff for their warmth and professionalism—it made a significant difference during my stay. With a few adjustments, this hotel has the potential to offer an even better guest experience.

I would say 3 star hotel. Somewhat worn down and interior dated. Food and staff OK. Terrible noise from the clubs and roads - we moved from the 5th to the 2nd floor after one night but still impossible to sleep. I was told they would put up plastic shutters outside the windows to try to mitigate noise - unfortunately I won’t be coming back to check. Due to lack of sleep I would not recommend.

The hotel room I had was needed renovation, the lighting in the room were very low, you need extra lights to look for something in the night time. But don't get me wrong the hotel service was very good, reception and restaurant services were 5 stars. You can easily walk to the old town.

Very nice hotel and polite staff. Know that You will have some noise at night because it is a busy area.

Positive: staff friendly, a selection of breakfast. Negative: no free newspaper, no electric kettle, no tea bags, no reading lamp, and noisy all night long until 5am or 6am! If you are a light-sleeper like me, I was wide awake all night until the early morning. Loud noises from the disco music or clubbing next door or something was going on nearby. People still walked around in the street, a busy traffic, taxis everywhere, with drivers blasted their horns and revving their cars, and people talking so loud in the street all night long until 6am! Unless you love to party all night long…you will be OK. But I need my sleep after an all day sightseeing in Marrakech. This noisy goings-on happened at least three nights while I was staying in this hotel for a week.

Good overall but would not say it is a 5 star hotel, more like 4 star hotel. Location is excellent and walkable to the city centre. Hotel staff were polite. Pictures make it look bigger than what it was. Quite disappointed with the pool, very small and shady. Not a big selection at breakfast, and advertised there is a tea/coffee maker in all rooms but there was no option to have tea. There is no iron in the room. It gets very noisy at night due to Nobu rooftop blasting out music and could not sleep the first night but did get better as the days went by. I did try to ask reception for a quieter room but said it is located on a busy street and all rooms booked up. I would say there are better 5* star hotels in the area if looking for more a luxurious stay but otherwise it nice and clean and not planning to be in the hotel all day.

The hotel was great and wowed me from the get go, especially after reading the reviews prior to the holiday. Gets my recommendation. Next door to the famous Nobu hotel, this is a cheaper equivalent but you get what you pay. The service and appearance were excellent, very friendly staff. Didn’t explore much of the services the hotel had to offer. Breakfast was very nice, but had a lot of flies present on open food. This is something out of their control. Would expect breakfast to be set up earlier. The room itself was very comfortable. We had a large bed and a separate bed for a young child. Easily able to accommodate 3 of us in one room. Very dark lighting, which would have been great for a romantic weekend, but not practical for a family holiday. Bathroom needs a good referb with the door broken and cracks. Does have an authentic old Moroccan building vibe. AC was ok, but when the city gets hotter, the AC would not be able to handle the demand. TV never worked and was not tuned. Barely had time to watch anyways. Had a balcony directly facing construction and a car park, but able to see a bit of the city from an angle. Picking on small details but the general hotel experience was very good. Had food at the rooftop, and the food was great. Once again the lighting there was horrible and they gave you candles, which gets blown out by the wind easily. More of a bar than a restaurant vibe with average service. Quite expensive, like a nice dinner in London at a good restaurant.
