If there was a choice to choose normal, I would have selected it. Service was said to be great, it was just okay. Feels like one of those hotels that just wait and hope for tips from all visitors. Maybe it is just a culture I was never brought up with. The hotel comes with a package to see the islands, Murano and Burano. However, I was not able to experience that as I have pre-booked the island hopping ticket. The hotel has a very inconvenient rule. You have to give them back the key at the counter every time you go out of the premises and have to collect from them each and every time you want to go back to your room. Rooms are slightly overpriced, considered that it doesn’t come with a kettle and tea coffee selections in each room. No lotion, no toothbrush, no conditioner, bad shampoo and body shampoo. I supposed you might be able to request from them, then it would have been inconvenient for a good rest in the hotel. Water is only provided each night if you are not in the room around 5-9 PM or you can request for it each night. Requesting for cleaning service will not give you water as well. Room service is only available for breakfast if you are willing to pay extra, but nothing fancy to eat. Breakfast is served every day but with the selection which was very disappointing, just bacon/ham, overcooked omelet, same bread, cake, cereal, biscuits, yogurt, and fruits selection. Breakfast definitely was not something you should look forward to if you are eating in the hotel. The location of the hotel is probably the only thing that is worth 5 stars. The hotel has easy access to shopping street, next to Rialto Bridge, 5 minutes to Plaza San Marco. Definitely saves you a lot of walking and boat rides. The restaurant outside the hotel is great but might be a little pricey. Overall, it was okay. Definitely worth it if you are looking forward to just the location.
