Stayed before our flight out of Florence. Very close to airport but also university so nice cultural vibes. Variety of restaurants and easy location to train or transit system. Very convenient and good prices!

Great hotel near Florence airport for early morning flights. Tomasso was super checking us in and we received our room earlier than promised. Also “Bosa” ( that was her nickname I think) was an excellent server in the restaurant for a quick dinner for an early night. Breakfast was also very good with a lot of variety and fresh.

Nice breakfast

Like a previous Hilton airport hotel, the plug/drain in the bathroom sink was faulty. Since this is the second time I have had to remove the plug and put it aside so that the wash basin drains I have marked to the Hotel down accordingly. Apart from this however: Reception was more than helpful very pleasant and spoke excellent English. Breakfast was absolutely superb. I cannot recommend it enough extremely high-quality foods a very wide selection and one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever eaten except Coffee. I understand why an automatic espresso machine type thing is used both at breakfast and in the foyer of the hotel but honestly the quality of the coffee was not great and the foyer machine ran out of milk. Given the high standard of the rest of the breakfast it was a letdown. The room was excellent and clean and the area is a university area so the availability of good not fancy food and a general lack of tourists rushing around is a major win for us. Since access to Florence Centre is easy and cheap I would recommend if you don’t want the full Florentine experience of pickpockets, crowds, claustrophobic, overcrowding, and tourist rip-off food! Good service

The experience at the restaurant was pretty bad. Before we ordered, we were told there were 4 menu items that they could not offer due to lack of ingredients. We ordered a pasta that should have had various seafood. We receive, after a long wait, a pasta with no seafood, only olives and a red sauce that tasted bad. The server indicated they did not have the ingredients. The staff failed to tell us this before we received the item. The server was clearly overwhelmed. People sat down but left because they could not get waited on. The bartender was helping run food but he too having a hard time. We had to get up to ask for the bill and no one ever offered dessert or came back to check on our table.

The location and parking makes the hotel a good choice for us. Convenient from the motorway and Pisa-Florence dual carriageway. San Donato tram stop only a few minutes walk away, so it’s handy for access to the centre (appx 10/15 mins) and also the airport on the T2 line. Well maintained hotel. Clean. Tidy. Fragrant. Good spread at the breakfast table. Attentive staff. Bar prices are reasonable for Florence. Thanks to the reception staff for quickly resolving our reservation issue. (Error @ hotels.com). We had all we needed for a comfortable weekend break. Thank you Hilton Garden Inn

It was a short walk to the train where we could get into the center of Florence easily. The hotel was clean and quiet.
