Good hotel

This hotel was in the totally ideal place in Bergamo. A short walk from the railway station and another short walk into town. It was really well appointed with fantastic modern room, fully working air conditioning and fridge in the room. The breakfast was great.

The Hotel Cappello D’Oro in Bergamo is perfectly situated with good access to the train station in one direction and the funicular rail link to Citta Alta in the other direction. A bus link to the airport is right outside the hotel .The hotel itself is clean, welcoming and comfortable - with excellent housekeeping and a varied choice of breakfast. The staff were professional and efficient and as a solo traveller I felt safe and comfortable at the hotel. On the down side I never received the wake up call I requested for my day of departure ( unless they called when I was in the shower!). However I still caught my flight on time and would be happy to stay in this hotel again and enjoy everything Bergamo and the wider Lombardy region has to offer . It was a great holiday !

Great BW hotel. Convenient location for walking up to the old city. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was comfy and well appointed. The breakfast buffet was extensive. The outside terrace was useful to have although it’s not got any views as this is a courtyard terrace. Parking was a bit complicated but the hotel staff helped.

We shared a Triple Room which was large and overlooked the street. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The staff were really pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was very good value with a wide selection. The bus from/to the airport is outside the hotel. There are plenty of places to eat in the area, and the city is very walkable from the hotel. We would happily stay here again.

No spa

Enchanting hotel within the heart of Bergamo, lots of boutique and high street brands in walking distance. Also near the train station, bars, restaurants, café's and gelaterie - reception can recommend. The staff are always courteous and you will receive a warm welcome.

Bergamo is an excellent pre Christmas destination and this hotel has a fantastic location.

It was nice and clean, the staff were polite and helpful. Happy for me to leave my bag while i explored the town. Breakfast was nice. No complaints at all.

Location is superb for this hotel - can walk to just about everything. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast is wonderful. The “gym” is laughable, carpets are worn and much of the trim needs painting. Bottom line good value for the price but if you’re used to top notch hotels this isn’t the one - it’s a typical older European hotel.

Slightly old rooms but very clean and perfect in every other way for my one night stay in Bergamo.
