The location was perfect for access to the old city and the outdoor dining area was nice too. The room which was located in the outdoor courtyard was very basic, but very clean and secure.

They were very good about correspondence before hand. It was a little hard to find my room as I came in after hours the room was perfect very quiet, dark clean, and it even had a little balcony. I would stay again

Our stay was absolutely phenomenal! The price was very doable for the days that we were there, and we were only a 10-15 minute walk from Avignon city center. The room was spacious and very comfy and the manager was very accommodating. We were traveling from the United States, and had a number of issues both on the trip getting to France and leaving, but the manager was very helpful and pleasant to interact with. Would definitely stay here again if visiting this part of France again.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, quiet location. Very good overall.

The staff was friendly. Great location. However, you will need a code to get in after 7:30 PM. One night, the code was not working. My husband and son were locked out. Luckily I was in the room and got out to the gate to let them in.

Nice old world charm with a pleasant garden for breakfast. Just outside the walls of the old city; so convenient for walking. Beds are adequate with a mattress on a metal frame. Quiet location.

Loved having a kitchenette and super close to the old town and right on the canal that made for a great morning run. Only down side was there was no WiFi until the owner kindly let us near her server to access our emails etc. the cottage was a bit hard to find as its behind a gate and access is via a lock box the owner needs to open but a kindly neighbor phoned the owner who was right next door and she came promptly. I would highl y recommend this cottage. Very sweet and brightly decorated.

The hotel is within walking distance of the train station and the ramparts of Avignon. The house is 300 years old and quite charming. However, there is no elevator, and there are a lot of stairs to the upper floors.

We had an excellent stay for 7 nights . We received a warm welcome, and had a quiet, spacious, and comfortable room with good facilities, overlooking the garden. We were very well looked after, felt at home and enjoyed relaxing indoors and out...especially in the beautiful garden with a cold beer! The hotel is in a quiet street, but just a short walk from the centre and the rail and bus station. (We came on foot by Eurostar) The hotel suited us perfectly...it was the relaxing and restorative break we needed, and for us it could not have been better.

At Hotel Roche we had a very clean and comfortable room with a large bathroom with shower. The little garden was delightful and was made available for guests to sit and relax. The major drawback is that there are no facilities in the bedroom for making tea or coffee. This will deter me from staying there again.

Had a great stay.Rooms are basic but value for money.We had a problem with our shower but the manager changed our room without any fuss.Lovely breakfast served in the garden.Would recommend if on a budget.

Lovely small hotel on the edge of the walled city.Warm staff and relaxing garden made a very pleasant stay.Avignon is an easily walkable town so the location even on the far side from the sites was no problem.

Although only a budget hotel, suited our needs for position to see Avignon historical centre, breakfast was value for the price and there was free parking was just at the end of the street with a quick route to exit the town.

We chose the hotel knowing that the food would be really good and the bedroom so-so. It was just that;the bedroom had not been aired for some time by the dampness of the bedding- pity all that was needed was to open the window for a day or two. The operator did his best to be generally helpful.
