3 nights of sheer enjoyment. Good food and service. Thanks especially to Kawter who takes huge pride in the Riad and encourages guests to come back.

What an amazing Hotel with Old world Moroccan charm. All the staff are super friendly and go out of their way to help. Was given a choice of rooms at check in. Nice Breakfast in the morning.

Inaccurate rating and description of property. The room and fittings tired and more befitting for backpackers on a hippie trail. Basic amenities missing, no power sockets or heating during this cold May.

The property was too small for a decent Riad, the room was small and the shower was awful. dirty towels. Very disappointing.

The Riad Al Madina is a great Moroccan hotel in the heart of a truly amazing place. From stepping out of the front door you are in the narrow paved streets of the Madina. This is the Third time I have stayed here and would return again.

More shabby than shabby chic, but some staff lovely some could do with cheering up Their wi-fi is better than most and the hotel is also the centre of the Medina. Their restaurant is too expensive so eat out. The room really is only for sleeping in. My TV was old and had awful reception. If bored take a book. The chairs on the balconies, terraces could be cleaned of bird muck more frequently. However it has a charm that you won't forget.

Lovely staff. The central courtyard and roof terrace are what makes this such a pleasant place to stay light and airy. Rooms can be a little noisy, but staff will do their best to find the room which suits you best. I would not hesitate to come back.

There is no WIFI in the room which is a bit inconvenient. But overall, it is a very lovely hotel and the decorations are pretty. We really enjoyed our time stayed there. If we go back to Essaouira, we will stay there again.

Pleasant enough, and good value. Room was clean and tidy, but the bed was a bit narrow and the room a bit spartan. Breakfast was ok. Best thing was that it was in a quiet location, with the rooms away from street noise and the seagulls (which can be really noisy in Essaouira).

Good traditional riad in old town. Surprisingly quiet for where it is situated.lovely central courtyard. Reasonable breakfast. The rooms we had were in the second house. Good sized accommodation but no internet access from there. Lovely rooftop terrace with Multiple levels.

Good location, Old morococan theme. Breakfast good and nice atmosphere. But evening meals tiring. Upgraded to a triple room and shower was hot - so good. Friendly staff - and felt safe. Room 13 - the Hendrix room was visited. Car parking instruction could have been better.

This Riad is well situated in the town from which it is easy to walk to the exciting port or to the beautiful but wind swept beach. There are many excellent restaurants and wherever you visit people are very warm and friendly.

Our family (me, my wife, two daughters 14 and 20, and father -in-law 86) had a lovely week in Essaouira staying in this riad. The roof terrace can be used for relaxing or sunbathing. Friendly staff, a little French goes a long way. The breakfast is simple (bread, pancakes, olives, tomatoes, eggs) but there is a toaster and it was just what we wanted. It is located right in the medina and not far from the port or beach. Just ask at reception if you want to hire bikes.

Perfect location in the centre of the madina. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help. Riad Al Madina has a great roof terrace with different areas where you could sunbathe, escape the wind and have a little privacy if you wanted it. We found the food to be good and the room was spacious and comfortable. We did use the heater on an evening as it was chilly. The bathroom is typical for a riad and we always had hot water when needed. We stayed a week here, just to relax and escape the British weather. The only thing I really didn't like was the market at Hadra. It's a market for locals and not aimed at the tourist. The fishing port and beach are a must visit as is the Fort where we paid 10 Dirham each to go in, worth it just to use the toilet. We are already looking forward to returning in the future.
