Loved every minute of my stay from check in to check out. It was like stepping back in time to old style Spanish hospitality. Staff addressed us by name from the moment we arrived and couldn’t do enough to help and make us feel welcome. The owner, Mercedes was always on hand and the staff Miguel and Nando remembered the little things, such as what we drank. Rooms spotlessly cleaned every day and the sea view was beautiful.

Comfy bed. Large bathroom. Good balcony to sit out on. Walking distance if everything. Nice restaurant.

All fine only there is no presence at reception all time.

The evening manager was efficient & checked us in speedily, which is appreciated after a long journey. The room was clean (even under the bed after dropping something). All staff & cleaners were friendly and helpful. To add another star, returnable chairs for the pool would be good as there's nowhere to sit or lounge by the pool. Obviously these could not be left out on the rooftop in bad weather. The hotel could do with a lick of paint on the outside, the decor is becoming a tad dated and the plumbing is a little noisy, but may just need a power flush. If you have a low sports car be careful of the highish kerb on your exhaust or bumper. We'd visit again, but next time would ask for a room further from the restaurant as its a great location with unfettered sea views with a balcony and that makes it very special overall.

Excellent location, close to the beach and main restaurants. The food at the restaurant is really good. Mercedes, the person in charge, is a very friendly and attentive person.

Amazing view! friendly and helpful staff!! Older proerty thin walls so we could hear others in their rooms and hallways.

Wifi was so weak, we all had to use my husband hotspot. Also the hotel was very old

Had a really lovely stay at the Arrayanes Plays Hotel. The room was great with a really comfortable bed. The balcony provided a beautiful view across the bay with amazing sunrises. The pool was a good size with great views too. The staff were very friendly & helpful throughout my stsy

Extremely noisy

The staff were kind. The hotel was in a beautiful spot and the balcony was nice. The Hotels.com description said parking was available — this was a bit unclear.. Turns out that the available parking was 3 spots out front (not designated for the hotel). We found a public parking garage about 1/2 mile away (wish that we had known ahead of time ). Also Hotels.com stated that this hotel had laundry facilities (which we were counting on). This hotel DOES NOT have laundry facilities. We needed to walk about 30 minutes to find a laundromat. Lastly, we were unable to get a hot shower, the water was tepid, barely warm

Great location restaurant excellent, staff friendly and helpful, comfortable bed, nice balcony for sitting, pool was nice but no lounge chairs or tables and have to use bath towels from unit, we liked it we stayed another night

The prices were very reasonable given the amazing location. The restaurant next door provided us with a buffet breakfast up to midday which I didn't expect. I was glad to support a Cuban businesswoman.

Spent too much time driving around looking for a parking space!!!

Very enjoyable stay at this hotel. Definitely recommend this for a stay in beautiful Almunecar.

Mercedes the lady on reception was very helpful, the hotel is very clean but needs updating which looks like it is in progress with some skips outside, Our biggest disappointment was we hoping to relax by the swimming pool but the hotel does not have any sunbeds or chairs to sit on so what's the point of swimming pool?

It was very friendly staff. Sea views were worthy & had breakfast in the balcony . Easy access . We missed the swimming pool because the windy days .
