Staying in a gorgeous renovated Parador is a real treat. The history is incredible and to see these old buildings restored as boutique hotels is a wonderful idea. Car park was quite tight to turn into behind the Parador. Gorgeous old hilltop town to explore. Plenty of bars and eateries. Our room looked over the river with France on the other side and the marina. We’ll return for sure!

Excellent experience

A perfect place for a relaxing couple of days. We loved this parador and will definitely be back. In the centre of the historic town, with great restaurants and bars within just a few minutes walk. Easy walking distance to town. Couldn’t have loved it more

Comfortable beds. Nice tub in bathroom. Great WiFi and great breakfast. Historical castle owned by Charles V of Spain. On site bar serves good (but expensive) drinks. The hotel has a lift

Great property, so historic, great views!

We stayed one night when we visit San Sebastián. The view from the hotel was wonderful and the hotel itself was amazing! I would like to visit again.

The most incredible building

Very disappointing stay as the hotel was well below the standard of the Paradores. The hotel has not restaurant, AC did not work at all. Many other little details that do not clasify it as a four stars hotels. Definitely it is not worth the price

The reception staff was not very forthcoming. There was a big celebration in town but they did not share information about it. We had to ask other people. They seemed to be stressed out and understaffed.

Room number 2. Like a little cave. Uncomfortable bed. Average food. Imposing and beautiful historical strcture.

Terrific place, good people

Terribly unsympathetic. Had to cancel due to family hospitalization. Called 1 day after the cancel by date as we couldn’t reach them (still early enough that they could open up the booking to others) and they refused to refund. Other even small family run hotels understood but this bigger corporation stuck to a technical deadline and didn’t seem to care that we were dealing with an emergency hospitalization. Was hoping to stay another time but not after such terrible business practices and bad customer service.

Great location and beautiful building. Service was excellent. Our room was small & basic, but it seems the luck of the draw as the room we booked for family was much better.

There were no staff to help with luggage

The property is a castle. It has beautiful views.

This has now gone down on our favorite vacation ever!! The castle itself is amazing. We stayed 10 days and would have stayed more but they had no rooms. We were on the sixth floor ( only two rooms there) and had a two balcony’s. You can spend days just in the walled old town but we were actually just across the street from the River. Walked every place. If you have a chance…book it!!
