Belle expérience dans le Riad, il y’avait une atmosphère très familiale et Khalid était tres bienveillant envers nous et très serviable. Je suis satisfaite de mon séjour dans ce Riad.

Considering it was almost an 800 year old building the condition was good. The staff (Khalid) was friendly and helpful. There were restaurants (local food) within walking distance. You could also get a taxi within a few minutes to visit tourist places.

The Riad itself was intimate and really gave the authentic experience. The rooms AC was a blessing and was never too hot. Beds and the bathroom were well kept and cleaned daily, so cute. The host was so, so kind and extremely helpful in many different ways, the best! Only thing I would mention is travelling around at night can be a bit challenging as it can seem like a maze. This is especially apparent when Google Maps aren't giving you correct directions or showing non-existent roads. Get a good bearing of the area during the day and try get to get back to the Riad at a reasonable time.

Kahlid, the manager was wonderful. We checked in about 5pm. He served tea. He told us about the property and the town and some of their customs. After we settled in he recommended a place to eat and walked with us to show us where it was. The food was great. There were 3 of us in the room but it wasn't too crowded. The rooms are off a court yard where we were served breakfast and tea. Excellent food. It was made fresh for us in the kitchen off the courtyard.

We have just returned from a 3 day stay in this lovely Riad. We booked our airport taxi through the hotel and the host met us from the drop off point in the Medina to walk to the Riad. Our host was a lovely quiet man who was very hospitable. The Riad was beautiful inside but fairly basic which we liked. The beds were comfortable and breakfast basic but authentic and slightly different each morning. The only downside to this Riad was its location. It’s in more of a residential area and a good 25 minute walk from the main square, that’s if you don’t get lost. You definitely need Google maps .

A lovely place to stay. We were so well looked after by our hosts; everything from airport transfer to making sure we were comfortable in our room. Breakfast was delicious and varied from day to day and the serving area was perfect. There are also good communal seating areas and we were able to make use of the rooftop terrace. Previous reviews mention the close proximity to a mosque and hearing the early morning call to prayer. We personally found this to be a positive experience, all part of the city and its rich culture. The Riad is located within the Medina, but is at the northern most end, so Google maps is definitely needed to be able to navigate your way to the main attractions. We found that we actually did slightly fewer steps than we would normally on a city break. There are a couple of really good restaurants nearby - Zouhal Food and Limoni. Would definitely recommend this Riad as a place to stay.

It was an old house that had been beautifully restored and was in the old quarter of Medina. The hotel employee, Mr. Khalid, was very warm, friendly and helpful.

Absolutely fantastic riad. Very clean and pretty on the inside. The host is without a doubt the friendliest and kind host I’ve ever come across. He went out of his way everyday to ensure I had a good stay. I don’t leave reviews, but this place deserves it. Stay here, you’re missing out if you don’t.

We stayed for three nights here as a couple and felt so welcomed. The staff weee incredibly friendly and went out of the way to make sure we were comfortable. We cannot recommend this place enough and encourage anyone wanting a hotel to stay here for an authentic Moroccan experience. The room was spacious and clean upon arrival and cleaned daily. The shower was hot as well as powerful with basic toiletries provided.

The Riad is situated down an alleyway, hard to find and in a rather rundown area. Khalid the manager was very hospitable and helpful. However the accomodation was basic, tired, and not the cleanest. At night trying to find your way back getting accosted by teenagers after your money to guide you. Even the tuktuk driver could not find it. We were booked in for 4 nights and left after 1.

What a wonderful experience in an authentic 800+ year old Riad! The driver let the host/manager know we arrived and Khalid came out to the car to greet me and help me with my luggage. We entered the lovely courtyard area, and Khalid had Moroccan mint tea ready for me to start my stay. The room was spacious, clean, and perfect. There is also a great roof top terrace that was perfect for relaxing. It was small enough where I was able to bump into the same other guests and have some nice chats with them- they also mentioned how much they enjoyed their stay. This Riad is tucked away on a small street, so Khalid walked me to one of the larger streets and gave me directions from there for restaurants. He also helped me on following days with speaking to taxi drivers to help guide me back. He asked each night what time I wanted coffee & breakfast ready the next morning, unlike many other places which have a set time. My last day, Khalid stored my luggage while I toured more of Marrakech, then served me more great Moroccan mint tea while I waited for my driver to pick me back up. As a solo female traveler, I can not thank Khalid enough for all of his help in making this such a fantastic stay! I highly recommend staying here if you want an authentic experience and want to feel well taken care of.

This was an excellent, authentic stay. Our host was kind, and went out of his way to help us and show us the quickest routes and best restaurants. Beautiful roof terrace and the riad was breathtaking, breakfasts were very peaceful with birds around. We went to Lemoni for dinner one night on their recommendation and the food was excellent.

We had a lovely stay in Riad Elixir. It was clean and a very beautiful building inside the medina. The chicken tagine we had for dinner was delicious. Khalid made us feel so welcome and went out of his way countless times to help us. He printed our boarding passes, ordered all our taxis, and personally walked us to restaurants. As two young females we appreciated this so much. Even though it was Ramadan, Khalid got up early twice to do us breakfast so we wouldn’t be late for our booked tour. If we come back to Marrakech, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else! :)

I brought my Dad to Marrakech as a 60th birthday present. Neither of us had been to Morocco before. Riad Elixir was perfect in every way! The location, the host, the rooms, the service - could not have asked for any better! A massive thank you to Khalid for looking after us! You’ll be seeing us again soon! - from Hannah and Gary Boreham
