Staff could be more pleasant and welcoming towards non white guests. It's obvious they behave differently towards non white individuals. The gentleman at the front didn't even bother to help me with bags or door when I was checking out and getting into a taxi.. didn't expect it from a Ronald owned hotel.

Rooms were spotless, beds were comfortable. Breakfasts were ample and absolutely wonderful. Bar and dining room were high quality. All the public spaces in the Palacio were beautiful and truly stand out. All staff could not have been nicer; they are wonderful m

Wow!!! This old Palace turned hotel is amazing!!! The service was above first class in all areas. Property was lovely. Breakfast was huge and delicious. We did order a late afternoon meal at the bar area because the restaurant didn’t open til 7:30. we ordered hamburger with fries but it came with chips and we ordered the salad with out chicken. They sent to chicken which was very dry. Loved to walk along the water. We took a 1/2 day private tour of Porto highlights which was excellent

Loved staying at this very beautiful and elegant hotel. Only area of minor discontent was darkness of the room and being on the first floor proximity to outside (literally 1 foot away,) so had to keep curtains drawn for any semblance of privacy.

Our stay at this beautiful and historic hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We were delighted to receive a complimentary room upgrade, which made our experience even more special. The room itself was elegant, comfortable, and filled with thoughtful touches that showcased both charm and modern comfort. The food was outstanding—each meal felt carefully prepared and full of flavor, making dining here a true highlight. The amenities throughout the hotel were equally impressive, striking a perfect balance between history and luxury. Every detail, from the décor to the overall atmosphere, added to the sense of staying somewhere truly unique. We left feeling relaxed, cared for, and already planning a return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable and luxurious experience in a historic setting.

The property is stunning the staff are very accommodating. Close enough to the old town by taxi that makes this a great place to relax and still be able to get into town and enjoy the sites.

This is an attractive hotel a reasonable distance from central Porto. We liked it for the pool area which was quite beautiful and relaxing with a view over the river and one of the bridges. The Luis bridge/old town is a good 45 minute walk away but a fairly easy and cheap Uber (4-7 euro usually). There is not a huge amount immediately nearby but there is a nice riverside walk leading to a few cafe/bars and a good pizzeria. The staff were very good and helpful. Room size was decent in a superior double with room for an extra rollout bed for our child and still space to move about and sit on the sofa. Our 4th floor room had a lovely river view. Breakfast could be very overcrowded at times which was the only real negative.

An amazing location with luxe rooms, super comfortable bedding, delectable breakfast and comfortable modern amenities set in historical architecture. Would stay here again. The staff were helpful, unpretentious and friendly with a palpable sense of Porto pride!

The property itself is gorgeous and there were numerous staff members who were super helpful and engaging. However, the front desk staff that checked us in was very moody and gave direct one word answers to questions. The free bottle of wine was a 5Euro bottle which in all honesty was pretty terrible. The breakfast is extremely average and only it took a while to get any coffee/egg orders in

The property grounds are gorgeous and the included breakfast feels extravagant. Outside the property, there doesn't seem to be much close by but an easy 2 mile walk along the river or quick Uber ridehas you in Porto proper.

Stay was very nice, service was great once checked in and property is lovely. The only issue was at check in. Somehow even though there were 3 people at reception they had to call someone to check us in and we had to wait for that person for more than 20 minutes. We arrived well after the normal check in time, during the day.
