Very old. Charming in some ways and not so much in others. For Fox Glacier, it was probably the best choice as the restaurant was good and the beer was cold at the bar. Its been awhile since weve seen a place with radiators for heat.

Good stay for stopover overnight stay while travelling from Queenstown to Christchurch

Looking pretty dated. Could do with sprucing up of the carpets. We were turned away from dining in-house even though we were told it could be arranged for us.

Great historic hotel with good breakfast buffet and great restaurant.

It was all good except we weren't advised on checking in that breakfast finished at 9 a.m. the next morning. We got a call at 8.30 the next morning to advise us of this. Consequently it was a bit of a rush to get there in time.

Well priced for a clean well appointed room. Much better value that where we stayed in Haast.

Very clean, good location as a jump off point for hiking

Unique location, friendly staff, clean rooms and all basic conveniences. However the TV was blurry and AC didn't work (replacement fans weren't ideal).

Hotel is really conveniently located, especially if you want to go for the heli hikes or rides the next day. Room itself is just average though. Can do with more hooks for clothes and maybe a microwave.

On arrival I was suprised to find that all accommodation is upstairs. However staff only to willing to carry our luggage up and down.

Rooms and facilities could use some loving, staff and locals were awesome. We had a great time!!
