What a gem of a place. Beautiful gardens, friendly staff, good food for dinner and breakfast, and a spacious parking garage. We were allowed to still park in the garage for several hours after check out while we went for a hike. The next time we visit, we hope we will have time to enjoy the sauna and pool, which looked wonderful!

Our stay was wonderful. The property is beautiful, spotless, the food terrific, the staff friendly. The rooms and the beds were comfortable and we were made to feel at home.

The manager was rude and incredibly short with us. She would go off on us and complain in Spanish and told us she couldn’t speak Spanish but the second she wanted us to pay extra she magically spoke English. This is a bed and breakfast and should be marketed that way and not as a hotel. The ladies helping serve dinner were wonderful and the grounds were beautiful! Tlicious as well.

Boutique property in a small town close to Santiago de Compostela. Classed as two-star but meets three-star criteria, and is entirely adequate. Comfortable, satisfactory room/bathroom. Proprietor will provide dinner on request; breakfast is standard buffet. Parking is in a garage just up the hill, but our lack of Spanish made getting clear directions to driving into it difficult. Location is also potentially difficult. Hotel sits on a narrow, single-lane road off the main road, and signs (especially coming from the north) are insufficient to make finding it easy.

Beautiful country residence turned full fare hotel located in a small village called Lestrove, in South Galicia, Spain. Lestrove is 20 mi South of Santiago de Compostela, a very important university and medieval town. Most important is the Santiago de Compostela medieval cathedral, worldwide known shrine that holds the relics of the Apostle and is the end point of the Camino de Santiago, a catholic pilgrimage and trecking experience that can be planned to cover as much as several hundred mi. Padron, a village 2 mi appart from Lestrove, is the landing place of the disciples carrying the Apostle relics from Palestine. The mythical boulder (Pedron in old Spanish) where the disciples tied up their ship to, is kept under the altar of a local chapel. Padron is the birthplace of the XIII century spanish poet Macias, which is my family name. Galicia is a beautiful country, with rolling hills, fertile and well cultivated valleys and stunning coastline, fiord type, called rias. Galicia people is kind, merry and very helpful. The hotel staff is outstanding in terms of helpfullness, local knowledge, and hotel services. The hotel has a beatiful design and is very clean. Cooking is simple but delicious, helped by the local availabity of fresh products from the farm and the sea. It is useful getting communicated in Spanish, as not everybody is proficient in English. Access by car with GPS and a great dosis of patience, as local roads and streets are winding and, at time, confusing.

Hotel muy agradable aunque con algunos peros: peregrinos yendo y viniendo que se levantan (y se oye) a las 5 de la mañana. Habitación y baño pequeños aunque con balcón. Desayuno bueno aunque no buffet.
