It’s a pub with rooms. Breakfast was nice, the staff were friendly. The room was very dated, marks on the bedding but the bed was comfortable. The window didn’t shut properly so could hear the busy road most of the night. There was damaged floorboards in the bathroom. The walls are so thin you can hear next door plugging something in, the room was fairly dusty and no plugs by the bedside.

We had to go to Linfield for the. BBC Radio Sussex & Surrey community awards & found this to be the most promising place to stay the night. It turned out to be excellent! The room was very comfy & had everything we need including tea/coffe making, TV & very comfortable bed. The included breakfast was manor from heaven. The staff were friendly & helpful. We are now on our way to Scotney Castle & on our way back to Worthing will visit Standon Hous, feeling well fed & relaxed. Highly reccomended. Kirk & Alex Dickenson

Room was disappointing. Room needed modernization. Bathroom was very small. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was average but edible. OK for one night stay but no longer!

Classic country village hotel and pub. The room was a tad small but clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful throughout and the breakfast was excellent. Would stay again

The room was perfectly adequate and the bed was comfortable. Bedding was clean but towels had a rather unpleasant smell (old cooking oil?!) water pressure in the shower was a little weak but again adequate. Certain areas (tops of plugs, windows edges etc) could have done with a wipe. Food was good and ample portions. Overall reasonable value for money.

It was ideal for going to the truck show in Ardingly. I had a small single room with a very decent sized bathroom. It was nothing fancy but it was clean and comfy and secure and the pub does great food, and all staff are excellent. I would definitely come back.

The service and warmth was first class, as was breakfast! The room was well appointed with a good bed and bedding, but the bathroom was very small, making it a little uncomfortable for someone tall (and not the slimmest!)

Travelled from Lancashire on the Friday and stayed until the Monday we were received with a welcome despite arriving late shown to our rooms which were very basic but comfortable. Only criticism no one replenished anything whilst we were there including toilet roll teabags et cetera however I’m sure if we have asked we would’ve got them. Breakfast was phenomenal lots of choice cooked to perfection to order plenty of juice, cereals, fresh fruit, and yoghurt. Stuff very friendly and welcoming. It is a little noisy if you wish to leave your windows open bearing in mind you can hear the noise from the beer garden but we weren’t particularly upset by this but other travellers may find this annoying. I would recommend staying here as it is very comfortable, friendly and food, gorgeous. We came for Brighton pride although it’s not near we were able to get Ubers on the bus on the Sunday from across the road.

The room and bathroom were small, a double bed would have been ideal, but two singles was too much for the size of the room.

The staff were excellent friendly and helpful. The room was perfectly comfortable and very clean. The busy road outside was a bit noisy when we are used to quiet at night so needed getting used to. Breakfast and evening meals were good. Excellent value
